Yesterday, a friend and I decided to try the Bacchus Bistro at Domaine de Chaberton vineyard. We were the first customers to arrive that day for lunch, and without reservations, although I understand that usually reservations are required, especially in the summertime.
We were seated near the patio windows which gave us a view of the vineyard, although it was winter. The choice of music was very relaxing, and to my taste - jazz.
Our waiter was Bill and the service was excellent - attentive, polite, but not intrusive. As we were not overly hungry, and had never been there before, we tried the soup of the day which was roasted garlic. Very tasty with a firm garlic flavour. We followed this with the spinach and Oka quiche, served with a fresh salad with a variety of greens. Accompanying this, I tried a glass of the house white and my friend tried the house red. Excellent house wines. The overall cost was reasonable.
We very much enjoyed our lunch and intend to visit again, perhaps for dinner
next time.
