Much improved

I occasionally attended Gary T's but did not like the place. Celtic Times is a big improvement. While the fake Irish certainly does not compare to Dublin Crossing, it has become a nice little pub. I have only had a few things on the menu but I was pleased each time. Excellent pepper and salt wings. Prices are reasonable. Service has been good as there are a few regular servers who are great like T.L. My one bitch is the lack of selection of premium beers. They got rid of Kilkenny which really sucks! and they need to add a few more beers especially given they claim to be an Irish pub. A nice place to hang out for a beer. Check it out...

Different place for Surrey

For us this is kinda an oasis in the Surdel area. A change from the plethora of Scott Road Indian restaurants and the lousy Chinese places. My wife's favourite although she can't handle really spicy food. Certainly the decor and ambiance is nothing special but the food is usually excellent. We have eaten here a lot and the service is usually good although it can get busy and slow things down. Their take out is usually late and they have screwed up orders but generally we find the food excellent. The boss loves the wonton as she does not eat red meat. Great sweet and sour chicken soup. There are a lot of mundane restaurants but the Green Lettuce is not one of them. I have always enjoyed the food. Check it out...

Although I have known it was there for sometime, I decided to try it for New Years. I was taking a chance because if I screwed up I would hear about it for the rest of the year. Our party of five were all presently surprised. Although it was quiet when we first entered, a little later it got busier and it added to the ambience. It was kinda cool because there were a number of families having dinner and it just added to the overall experience. I have eaten at a lot of Indian places on Scott Road but this was probably one of the better ones. Water on the table, food served promptly and the waitress had a pleasant smile when she was serving. As the evening went on things got better and that was not do to the beer we were consuming. No one had any complaints about the food and overall it was an excellent night. Bozlee was right this was "great food" and I decided I should write about it. We will certainly be returning. Check it out.
