the restaurant is spotless which is a good thing . but the quality of the food is inconsistent. the veggies are not fresh at all. black spots on the cauliflour , and wilted celery. the almond chicken is overcooked and dried up and the deep fried prawns are all batter. as well as the lady owner can be very abrupt. i have tried this place half a dozen times and it has done nothing but gone down hill
very sad that a mom and pop style deli does not appreciate a potential customers business....they are very rude ...they used to be a nice deli but could not care less on whether yo shop there or not..they are going to have a rude awakening when the inno bakery and deli opens up next door to them next month.. by that time it will be too late as i am sure that previous custmers are not going back to the polonia deli...
this is definately not the place to go for dinner.. i should have known when there was no customers in the restaurant at 6;00...the food came cold and was returned...we could hear them put the food in the microwave and return it to us..the waitresses were constantly filling our drinks and very nice, but there was only one cook in the kitchen and she could not get the order right for the only two customers in the restaurant...whatever you order at night is straight out of the freezer....but the breakfasts are okay
i love chinese food and very exited to get a flyer in the mail for this takeout place..the prices were very low and so was the quality...we ordered 5 different dishes to try and could not eat any of them...the beef chop suey was so overcooked the brocolli was mushy and the beef had a terrible flavor..the crispy chow mein had raw slices of beef on top and smelled horrible...and there are no words to describe how horrid the other three dishes were...it may be okay if you are used to canadan style chinese food, but the place is a whole in the wall and does not seem clean enough the kitchen is so open that you can see the floor..there are a few table to sit at and a television..
what a cute little bistro...the sandwiches are overpriced and the bread is not fresh and you get a little side of potato chips..this is to be expected when they do not have a restaurant kitchen. the girls that work there try to be nice, but are very loud to each other and do not look to clean. this place could be a hidden gem if more people would give it a try then perhaps the food would be a little more fresh.
i love my coffee and this place has the best latte's in the tri city area the temperature is always perfect ...and the bake goods are fresh daily and delicious. the staff are very polite . it is quite a busy little coffe shop and definately worth a try !
this place is great..i was very hesitant about giving it another try but it was the best chicken donair that i have ever eaten...the mom made it and she was so very nice and the portion was very generous...it was not busy but it should be as it is a family run business and they are trying very hard to succeed and only want to satisfy their customers and are doing a good job
my husband and just returned home from dining at nick's...it has been 3 years since we have been there and nothing has changed at all...it still looks the same as 1976 when i had my 16th birthday there....and the food is still very delicious....the house salad is so refreshing and delicious...i had my favorite fettucine with clams in a tomatoe sauce..i was very disappointed that they did not drain the pasta more as it was sitting in alot of water and there was not enough tomato sauce...my husband had the penne with meat balls in tomato sauce..again there was not enough tomato sauce but far too much water from not properly draining the pasta...but the flavor of the tomato sauce is outstanding and the meal is worth the price.
the food is just okay and it really all tastes the same, but if you are on a budget with a big appetite you can stuff yourself silly. the deep fried prawns are reaaly quite nice [ if you can get any] as well as the wonton soup and black bean sauce chicken..it is worth a try
this place has the best deserts....a perfect place to go after seeing a movie for desert and coffee.....the service is not so great as they rarely ask if you want a refill on your drinks....the eggs benny for breakfast are the best...a great place to go for breakfast and it is always busy in the morning
i love this place for its coleslaw..it is made fresh for every order...as well as the buns are made fresh every day...the fish is never greasy at all. and does not have an overly thick batter.. the homemade tarter sause is also very delicious...the burgers and chinese food are not worth trying. the waitresses have been there since the beginning and are rather funny once you get to know them. it is not wonderful looking in there and could use an update, but who cares when the fish is so good
you really could never complain about the portion sizes and the prices...if you are on a budget it really is a great place to eat..but it is very busy and the service is not overly friendly...the chinese food is canadian but it is good, the clubhouse sandwiches are huge and very delicious and they are definately underpriced . that is what keeps the diner so busy
this restaurant has really improved in the past year..possibly because they know us now...we like authentic chinese food and we ask for them to make it as authentic as possible...my husband and i consider it to be the best chinese food in the tricity area for the price and quality .it is definately worth a try..
the food is so fresh and home made...the daily soup is outstanding, and the fries are fresh cut potatoes .the burgers are not frozen patties but freshly made patties out of the leanest ground beef.it is definately worth a try, and the food is very addicting!. i always look forward to visiting the fx building to go for lunch at la fourchette
what a wonderful place, the food is outstanding and fresh..very addicting, once you try it , it will be food you will never forget..the restaurant is small, but always busy with regulars that canno get enough of the homemade fresh pasta
my husband and i have been many imes to the lougheed won ton huse as he likes it. but last week we had a very upsetting meal..the won ton soup tasted really strange.. the food and service seemed t have gone downhill, and they were not busy..i felt that it seemed really unclean, and had a hard time eating...we both ended up ill from the meal and will not go back, as we wonder what were those won tons?
unpleasant experiance.....unfortunately the restaurant serves food with a weird taste, and you have to wonder what on earth did you eat..the smell of the food is not fresh.definately not worth trying....it is unfortunate as the past owners had very good food
craigs cafe has improved slightly in the past 6 months, but it is very expensive for being such a hole in the wall..and the food is always inconsistent...it is worth a try to support the new owners of this restaurant.....unfortunately the servers need to improve on the service.
what a great find.....they are hardy ever open, but when they are ,the food is outstanding..they try very hard to please you, and the portions are huge....my husband and i can hardly wait until the new year for them to reopen with a new menu.
it is definately worth a try, the food is just okay, nothing special , but the employees are all very nice.and.it is very clean, i will not go out of my way to return in the near future.. but it is a great hangout for a few drinks after a hard day at work
