A definate miss...

This is the second time that I have visited this restaurant, and it will be my last. Maybe it was because I had an entertainment card discount, but the food and especially the service disappointed again. The butter chicken that they serve is way too sweet and not spicy enough. I asked for rice with my meal, and it was forgotten. I asked the waitress again for the rice, and never got it...when we got the bill it included the elusive rice !! I asked for the refund and she sort of shrugged and wondered if I had actually eaten it. One last thing - get rid of the plastic chairs !!

Boston Pizza4219 Lougheed Hwy, Burnaby
Not bad for a chain restaurant

I needed a very late dinner, so opted for Boston Pizza, as it seems that almost every eatery rolls up the carpet in Burnaby after 11pm weeknights. The waitress I had was extremely personable, and gave me great service. The ribs that I ordered were great, but the garlic bread that was served was very dried out...the meal was not presented as well as it could have. If you are looking for a late night meal, I think it beats Knight and Day, Denny's or any of the other all nighter places, though.

Sweet Revenge Patisserie4160 Main Street, Vancouver
What's all the hype ?

This was my second visit to Sweet Revenge in the last six months. This time I opted for the apple pie and my friend opted for the creme brulee. The apple pie was just ok, a little too dry. My friend (I did have a sample, and agreed) found the brulee very tastless. It always seems packed in there, and I wonder why - this desert shop offers nothing with nuts as well. This is not a place I would ever take a date, it is way too stuffy.

Just good old Indian Food

I dined here last week, and I must say, their butter chicken is really excellent. The naan bread was very tasty too, although the size of the entrees have certainly shrunk over the years. I never expect great service with Indian restaurants, and Nirvana lived up to that - you almost have to scream to get your bill.
