I've been meaning to try this new restaurant for some time. I dropped in the other day for lunch and had a beef and veggie stirfry on egg noodles. It was excellent, and is a traditional Vietnamese dish not commonly found at restaurants.
I returned the next day with my wife, who's Vietnamese and her parents and they were very impressed as well. We had a variety of traditional dishes, vermicelli (bun) and rice (com) and they were certainly well above standard of most Vietnamese restaurants around Vancouver. There is a great variety of food, dessert and drinks on the menu that should keep us coming back for more.
The ambience is very pleasant, and very clean. Those used to traditional Viet restaurants will probably find the ambience and service geared towards caucasians, but it was a nice change from the dime a dozen pho restaurants.
The service was excellent. The owner was in the dining area mingling with the patrons, and really gave you the impression that she appreciated having you at the restaurant. She was very friendly and gave us and our baby personal attention.
Overall, a very great experience and I anticipate we'll return often.
