After having driven by myriad times in my life, why have I not tried this restaurant before? It's fabulous.
My boyfriend and I got the 7 course tasting menu for two for $25/person. Wonderful! There was also an option to add 2 oz wine pairings for each course, which adds on another $25/person (which we didn't do).
We'll be going back!
We tried this place several years ago and decided not to go back, until recently when we gave it another shot. From the outside, one might assume the food will be mall food court quality, but it turned out to be great! It's a great find in this neighbourhood (right by the Ridge Theatre), especially after Win's burnt down. If you wrote it off years ago, give it another try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

This place is an average diner: the food is decent, but pretty plain for the price. The best thing on the menu is their house dressing - it's made with fresh basil and makes a delicious dressing or dip for just about anything! It's just as good as a similar herb mayo version I had at the William Tell.
A group of friends and I went there once a week over the course of a few months and the friendly staff got to know us, and made us feel very welcome. The service was very good.
One very appealing feature of this place is the hours. A 24 hour restaurant is a hard thing to find in Vancouver. I would definitely recommend it if you're trying to find a place to eat after other restaurants have closed.

I had dinner at Bimini's early in the evening on a Sunday, with only a couple other people in there. The lighting is way too dark and the temperature is too cold. I mentioned to them that the women's bathroom was out of soap, and went back there a while later and they still hadn't changed it, which I consider a health issue (are the employees going to the bathroom and not washing their hands?)
I ordered a hamburger, and when I took a bite, I could see (with difficulty due to the poor lighting conditions) that it wasn't cooked. I waited and waited for the waitress to even walk by so I could tell her about it, and she never came. I finally stood up and went to the bar and told her my hamburger wasn't cooked. She asked if I wanted another one. Of course I want another one! If she meant that I could opt for something else, she never said that. I went to the bathroom and when I came back my new burger had arrived. I got absolutely no apology about serving me undercooked hamburger, which in this day and age is a big health issue.
To summarize: inappropriate atmosphere, atrocious service, inadequate bathroom facilities and undercooked hamburger. I'm never going back!
