I hate to be so negative but this place really missed the point for us. Nice room but really poor service, sub average food that really isn't even worth commenting on and honestly note a place that I would try again. I was excited for a new-concept greek joint in town but this one just didn't meet expectations. I would much rather stick with a local authentic greek restaurant for the food even thought I'd be more into a modern eatery.

Have always wanted to try this place but never had a chance. When one of my girlfriends suggested it I jumped to the opportunity. Great Place, good service and unreal oysters! The room has a great feel to it and honestly wish I had been there sooner in my dining career. Not the cheapest place in the city, but still overall good value.
We will be going back soon!

A girlfriend and I tried Sip for the first time on Wednesday for dine out. I must say I loved it. This is a really cool room where we felt very comfortable, no egos, but still a bit above the curve.

When we got there we where sat by our host (we liked that for once a male was greeting us as opposed to the usual females we see always). It was close to the door and we where a bit cold so we asked if we could be moved to another table. After looking at the reservation computer for a minute he took us to a high top table kind of in the middle of the restaurant. It actually was much more comfortable than it looked, and we felt so front and centre!

We were told that their are other reservations coming up after us (which I really didn't like hearing but I think that this is kind of a standard around this dining event) so we needed to place our order in all at once. She was nice enough to let us wait till after dinner to pick desert. I didn't think we would have enough time to finish dinner in the time allotted but everything came up so quickly it was like we just keep eating.

As for the food itself, I loved the chicken/beef appie and even though not on the menu they where able to get a vegetarian dish for Nina. We went for the suggested wines and found it to really work with the foods we had. I'm no connoisseur but it did taste good. We had the pesto pasta and salmon, both of which were killer. I loved the hennasy sauce on the salmon. The accompanying rice was also great but made me really full and would have preferred more of the broccoli instead. For desert we split one of each options, and than ordered one more of the moose, I'm such a sucker for good chocolate.

The whole time the vibe was great, the room was full but not chaotic and the music was perfect. We have two staggetts coming up this spring and we will be coming back again for sure. The menu was $40 including the wine ($25 and $15 if I recall) and I would defiantly recommend it!
