I just love the Diva! It has an incredible reputation and I don't know anybody (including myself) who has ever been disappointed. I always enjoy the extremely tasteful and lovely decoreated food! The ambience is classy and yet comfortable! And the desserts....well....they are simply heavenly!

Good place to hang out in the summer!
Submitted Saturday, February 4, 2006 - 7:03pm [Dine in]

This pub is great in the summertime. After a nice walk along the New Westsminster Quay one really deserves a nice fresh beer. The Paddlewheeler has a nice patio almost right in front of the Fraser River. It's great to hang out there with some friends for a beer. The food is typical North American and I'd rather have my steak somewhere else but yet good enough for some snacks along with your drink.

Kirin Sushi is a good place to have fresh japanese food!

I absolutely agree with the prior posting. If we have the craving for sushi, Kirin is always our first choice! We are happy to have this restaurant in our neighbourhood! The prices are very reasonable, the staff friendly and the sushi very well prepared! There is actually nothing on the menu I wouldn't recommend!

Dine Out Experience
Submitted Monday, January 30, 2006 - 8:03am [Dine in]

On Saturday night we went with a party of 4 to Capone's in Yaletown. All of us had to squeeze around a table for two and more than once we were reminded that we've got only 90 minutes until the next party for this table was going to arrive, which made us kind of uncomfortable. In addition, it was even mentioned in their menu - how excessive! Shortly (!) after we had ordered our menu - the first course arrived. I had three little shrimps on my huge plate and almost needed some magnifying glasses to find them. My friend's chicken skewers looked kind of dark and super crunchy, while the bruschetta seemed to be ok. As an entree I had chosen beef tenderloin. To make a long story short: My small steak was already cold, my husband's not even cooked properly, the mashed potatoes kind of gooey and our friends plate (who ordered the B.C. Snapper) looked exactly the same! The dessert was probably the highlight of our whole experience and yet my friend's cheese cake was just (what we call) an "empty tooth filler". I can only say that, after the whole thing was done we literally rushed (still hungry) out of this place kinda desperate to leave. I think we did not even spend one hour there. This was for sure the most terrible dine out experience I have ever made and considering the price .....well, from my point of view: It is a real rip off!

I will never ever visit this place anymore! Guaranteed!
