Good burgers, long waits
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 1:40pm [Dine in]

I have to agree with some other reviews here, food is good, but it's not worth waiting in a long line in the rain for. I do like their food though, burgers are and fries are good. Also be warned - cash only and there aren't really any options on the menu other than burgers.

Awesome burgers and fries
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 1:37pm [Dine in]

Some of the best Burgers and Fries in Vancouver. I've only eaten here twice, but I was with others who eat there more often. I recommend it for sure. Haven't tried the hot dawgs but I hear they are quite good too. Prices are very reasonable.

Look at your food before eating
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 1:33pm [Dine in]

I have eaten at Il Terrazzo more than a dozen times while working downtown. The food is very tasty - some of the best anywhere. However, on three different occasions I have found strange objects in my food, and in the food of others I was dining with - some of them I won't get into - but here are a few examples a large elastic band (more than half of it) in a vegetable dish, a very large black hair (about a food long) some of these things I don't know how they could have missed and brought on a plate without seeing they were so large. The worst part was the service, the manager was even there, and he didn't seem at all worried about the problems "oh that's just an elastic band from the broccoli". Keep a close eye on what you're eating at Il Terrazzo that's my advice.

Tourist Trap
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 1:12pm [Dine in]

This is one of the best (or worst) examples of a "Tourist Trap" in Victoria. The food is horrible, and the service is just as bad. When I ate there, we tried the seafood platter - and some of the food on the platter was actually rancid and rotten! When we tried to complain they wouldn't listen and the best they would offer was to bring us another plate of the same (no chance I'm going to risk eating more seafood after that) not recommended

Amazing view, great food
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 1:06pm [Dine in]

This restaurant has the best view in town period! The food is quite good, although there are not a lot of non-seafood options for people. For Appetizers, try the yam chips they are amazing. Overall this is a really great place that mostly only people staying in the hotel know about, more people from Victoria should give it a try as they are missing out.

Great Susi
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 12:57pm [Dine in]

One of the best places to get Sushi in Victoria. Mostly take out, although they do have tables to eat outside if the weather is good. Always fresh they have several people making the Sushi all day long. Never had a problem - eaten there more than 10 times over the years. Their recent renovation (2005?) has improved the place as well.

Great food, nice service
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 12:52pm [Dine in]

I've only been to Floyd's once, so take that into consideration. I found their food to be really good, and their service was fast and helpful. I went during the week and it wasn't hard to get a table - but it was far from empty. Definitely a great casual place to go for breakfast in Victoria.

Great food, menu doesn't change much
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 1:22am [Dine in]

I've eaten at Danieli's about 15 times over the past two years as my wife loves Italian food - so I can provide a pretty good review here. I have found the service to be quite good, food generally comes quickly, the complementary bread and tapenade is really quite good. Food is good, and made fresh. Only problem is the menu doesn't really change - so other than the specials it can get a little boring if you go there a lot.

Demitasse Cafe1320 Blanshard Ave., Victoria
Great coffee and OK food
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 1:16am [Dine in]

Haven't eaten at Demitasse for awhile. The last time I did my chicken breast was raw and still pink! I had eaten there many times before this incident however, and always loved the food there. They gave me the meal for free and apologized for the problem. I would still recommend Demitasse as a place to eat, as this type of thing can happen anywhere. Would like to hear from others if this place is good or bad currently.

Great Thai food
Submitted Friday, December 29, 2006 - 1:12am [Dine in]

There are two great places for Thai food in Victoria, and Baan Thai is one of them. I usually get the noodle dishes like the pad Thai, but everything is good. Apps I've gotten spring rolls and they were good. You can pick your level of spice that you want for many dishes, so if you can't handle spices stick to the 1. The service isn't bad at all.

Can get a little crowded at times though so be warned.
