I think I had the same waitress last Thursday night.I took three people to Market from out of town. The manager made sure we had a great seat on the patio and the food was good but not great. However, the waitress was clueless about wine and showed no appreciation or knowledge of the menu. She disappeared in between for close to forty five minutes in between courses and it took her half an hour to bring us a thirs bottle of wine. They need to work on the wait staff here.Bartenders are great as is the front end. After dropping $400.00 here all I got was a thank you behind my back as we were walking out.

A winning formula
Submitted Friday, May 22, 2009 - 11:11am [Dine in]

The Global Group has a winning formula. While other restaurants are having struggles on 4th, Tratt continues to excel. They know their demo and how to take care of their customers. This restaurant is about fun and shared experiences.Shared the Antipasto Misto platter and a bottle of wine.Perfect dinner for two followed by in house tiramisu.Tratt is not pretending to be an Italian restaurant. Those expecting that will be dissapointed. That said, pastas and salads offer great value. They have a great team here that makes the whole concept of sharing alot of fun.

Stella's got her groove!
Submitted Thursday, May 21, 2009 - 11:12am [Dine in]

I've always enjoyed Stella's on the Drive but it's nice to have the new location in my hood.Wednesday night and the place was rocking with a good mix of people. This really is a neighborhood local with a stellar beer selection on tap or in caps.Mussels and frittes were perfect with a couple of Palms.Service behind the bar was friendly and welcoming. You can graze here or do a prix fixe for $24.00.Looking forward to going back and working my way through the menu.

Stinky's

Had the pleasure of dining in smoke after a fire broke out on the grill.VFDshowed up it was so bad.No apologies from the staff who seemed amused rather than concerned.Pinky's is a glorified Browns with sub par steaks. At the mid price point stick with The Keg or step up and go to Gotham.Bartender took a couple of minutes to finish texting on his Blackberry before asking me what I wanted to drink. Our waitress did not know what cognac was and asked if I wanted it on the rocks!Steaks and sides were average at best.I think this one will follow the way of the Yaletown location.
