Congee Noodle House141 E Broadway, Vancouver
one of the best won tun noodles places in town
Submitted Monday, August 27, 2007 - 12:13pm [Dine in]

I've been coming here for years and I feel that Congee Noodle House serves some of the best chinese noodles in Vancouver. Good selection in the menu if you don't want won tun or congee and the price is good. Worst parking lot in town though.

I Cafe2525 Heather Street, Vancouver
authentic Hong Kong-style cuisine
Submitted Monday, August 27, 2007 - 12:05pm [Dine in]

If you are from Hong Kong or have been there then you can appreciate the authenticity of the food that iCafe serves. This style of cuisine may not be for everybody as a lot of the dishes are essentially "chinese-style" western food. Having worked in Hong Kong, a lot of the dishes served are like the ones that feed the thousand of HK workers during their lunch breaks. Service here is prompt and comfortable and the price is good for what you get.

Slow service...
Submitted Monday, August 27, 2007 - 11:33am [Dine in]

horrible service... slow, unattententive front counter staff makes coming here when I am forced to grab a bite in the area frustrating. It's not surprising that there is always someone new serving the front as it seems that employee turnover is high. I have yet to go here and leaving thinking, "wow, that was fast and efficient." Food is ok but overpriced.

Stonegrill1661 Granville St, Vancouver
A positive dining experience
Submitted Monday, August 27, 2007 - 11:27am [Dine in]

Visited the Stonegrill on Aug 24th with some trepidations after reading some of the reviews here. I found all of the negative review claims to be unfounded. The service was prompt, the food came at a good time and the "lingering meat smell" that a lot of reviewers complained about was non-existent. If you've ever been to korean bbq before than this is nothing. Pricewise I do think you could do better elsewhere but if you use an Entertainment Book couple then it's all good. I would definitely go again but will wait for next years issue of the Entertainment Book to use the coupon again :P
