I was really looking forward to the restaurant based on the reviews. it is great to see this area attracting a notable chef. Even better that he is the owner/operator.
The decor is done beautifully. A small space, done right. The colors, the table settings, the bar. The feeling was intimate, but not small town.
The food was good, but nothing great. Unfortunately, everything I had was so salty. We had Calamari, Fish & Chips & an Onion Tart. All were good, but left us wanting more water.
We will definately go back in a while. I would expect they will change their menu seasonally, which we love. And we will always support the smaller establishments.
Our whole family loves it. It's a treat, but yet reasonably priced. The menu is fun, interesting and different then any other sushi restaurant around. It is great to see the kitchen from your table, or to take the family into the private room. The the tv's are welcomed by the kids & Dad alike. We have done take out, but it is much more fun to eat in.
They just starting brunch, and what a refreshing change from the usual brunches around. They have an interesting buffet with salads (fennel/apple, greek pasta, mixed green), sweets (amazing mini cheesecake, chocolate brownie, lemon mousse), fruit, smoked salmon, breads with locally made preserves etc. And then they have a menu of breakfast and lunch items - eggs benedict, french toast, fettuccini alfredo, omelettes etc. You can have both a menu item and the buffet for only $16. Amazing value. Really nice setting, wonderful music & welcoming staff. Did I mention the Momosa's:)
First, I love the food. Kefi takes time to make it's food in traditional ways. From slow cooking the lamb, to making the traditional desserts in house. Second, I love the people. The owners greet you like family, not my family, but like a warm, loving, great family. And finally, the blue sky, the blue water & the naked statues. Why would anyone leave Greece?
My husband does not enjoy curry. Crazy fellow. But I do! And when he goes out of town, I go to the GM Restaurant. I love it. Great value, great food. Actually, I know he really loves me because one day he took me there for dinner and a movie. I think he actually enjoyed the food, although it is not his thing.
