Sushi Mori2565 Barnet Hwy, #26, Coquitlam
Very nice Japanese Restaurant
Submitted Monday, April 27, 2009 - 10:29pm [Dine in]

I've been here a few times, the first was early when it just opened. They had a different menu back then, it wasn't very good at all before, but they seem to have changed it up now. I went for lunch a few days ago and was very happy with the quilty of food, value and the friendly service. We order the bento boxes, a few rolls, gyoza, and a udon it all tastled wonderful for the price that they are charging. But what prompted me to write a review about sushi mori was there service. Now I love Japanese food and I have been to many here in Coquitlam, but from my experience very very few restaurants here have both good food and good service. And sushi mori has good food and great service I really recommand this place.

Won't go back

From the outside Li&Jun seems like a nice restaurant. But once the food came I knew it wasn't. The sashimi wasn't fresh and looked ugly, the sushi rice was too hard, the rolls were all falling apart, and i even had a piece of bone in my tuna sashimi. Overall i didn't like the food, but everything else was ok.

A nice place to eat. The food tastes very traditional. Nice place to just sit down relax and either order food or drinks. The bubble tea here isn't bad. A modern atmosphere very clean. Just hope that they would open late because it would be a nice hang out after work.

One of the Best in Coquitlam

Love the food at this place. The Pad Thai is superb, as well as the curry and many other elegent dishes. A bit pricey, but I enjoyed every bit. The service was outstanding, when asked about ingredients of the dish, the head chef personally would take the time to come to our table and explain to us. The location and size of the restaurant did not really fit for me. A little too small, looks more like a to go store, than fine dining. However the food speaks for all and it was fantastic.

Church's Chicken1175 Johnson Street, #200, Coquitlam
Just go to KFC

Church's Chicken does not have good chicken, the coquitlam loction especailly. If you were to go on a busy hour chances are your gonna wait a while for chicken, but the chicken isn't bad. If you go after busy time, chances are your gonna get left overs that has been sitting on the rack for maybe an hour or longer. Ive tried the chicken burger here too and the chicken that i was given was soggy, dry and tastless. Of course you can always ask for freash chicken but it takes just too long wait (45mins). However the hotwings arent bad, but some of the time it comes burnt. The service is ok like most fast food. To be honest I dont know how this place has survived after all these years.
