Great Patio
Submitted Saturday, July 12, 2008 - 11:07am [Dine in]

My husband and son and I have been going there ever since we moved to North Van 4 yrs ago. Good value for your money. Have had steaks, crab etc. Like the seafood club. Have had the alaskan king crab legs a few times and enjoyed that. We have ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The patio is great to sit on in the summer and look at the boats in the marina. Read some of the reviews about service and never had a real problem with it. Some times we have even had outstanding service. My sister and others have tried the chinese food at lunch and it was so so. Other than that the other food is good and not over priced. Huge sundaes that are cheap. We often share one for the 3 of us. The lounge was updated and hopefully they will update the dining room soon.

They closed for good in October 2007. They were great for lunch. Good food and good value. Sorry that they closed. Nothing new has opened up in that location to date. Previous to being the Bali Restaurant it was a chinese restaurant(Amy's) that was there for years. Also very popular for lunch. Wishing another restaurant would take over the location as it is popular for businesses in area to go to for lunch.

Good platters for 2
Submitted Saturday, July 12, 2008 - 10:55am [Dine in]

Have been there several times for lunch with family. Usually we splurge and get the platters for 2. Love the seafood one, both times I had it recently it was great. The salmon was so tender, not overcooked as some places tend to do. No complaints from any of us. All of us go out and eat greek alot. There are better but this one is one of the best on the North Shore.

Laid back surfer style

My husband and I went on the recommendation of a friend as I wanted a place with good drinks. Loved my strawberry mojito and strawberry marg. We started with mexi dip and homemade tortilla chips. Chips reminded my husband of the chips back in Mexico where he is from. He had a mexican chicken club and I had a californian chicken club with yam fries. Very good and tasty on ciabatta buns. Service was very fast as we went early, would have preferred it to be a little slower so we could hang out longer. The staff were great. Will go back again and try some other drinks as they seem to specialize in the big tropical drinks.

Service with attitude
Submitted Saturday, July 12, 2008 - 10:44am [Dine in]

HAving read the reviews I have to agree they are arrogant and rude at times. My sister who goes all the time was eating and drinking there one time when they owner got mad at my other sister as she did not order. She only came in to meet my other sister. He did not like that. We have gone when he is so rude and other times when he is so nice. The blond son is arrogant and other times he is ok. He is great to my mom. If you can get beyond the changing attitudes and sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and people watching it is great. Good lattes, gelato, italian cookies etc.
