Very Disappointed
Submitted Friday, September 16, 2011 - 10:31am [Dine in]

I took my parents out for their 56th wedding anniversary to the Bedford House in Langley on the September long weekend. It was not busy due to the long weekend and being a Sunday. All of our food was overcooked or undercooked. Our reservations were for 6:30pm. My sister and I ordered a stuffed chicken dish but were advised after we put in our order there was only one dish left. I then ordered filet mignon, medium well. My steak was literally burnt with a blueberry sauce covering it to disguise the charred marks on it. My mother order the special which was a lamb shank and it was overdone and tough. My husband order a salmon dish, this was undercooked. My sister had the chicken and it was overcooked. My father had a seafood dish which was okay. The price of the meal was $225 not including the tip. This was the 3rd time I talked my family into going to the Bedford House as it is in a beautiful location. The previous visit, we were seated and then 3 tables were seated after us and were served before us. The time before that was for Mother's day buffet, again I talked my family into going as I love the area the ambiance. We were disappointed with the buffet as well. I won't go back or be recommending the Bedford House to anyone. I felt very bad I had ruined their anniversary dinner by taking them back there when they voiced their concerns about our previous experiences.
