didn't like the wonton soup
Submitted Wednesday, January 23, 2008 - 7:42am [Dine in]

Ordered some food which was delivered, had wonton soup (the broth was quite fishy tasting) and wontons had a different flavor say compared to "Hon's" , had tomato beef chow mein (the beef also had an unusual flavor which didn't really taste like how beef usually tastes like), the sweet and sour boneless pork was the best of the 3 dishes. Although it came within half an hour which was quite quick, I wasn't impressed with the dinner. I've also had their dim sum which wasn't bad..

Cupcakes on Denman1168 Denman Street, Vancouver
the icing is too sweet
Submitted Thursday, October 25, 2007 - 8:40pm [Dine in]

The store is very inviting with all the colorful cupcakes displayed with the nice smell of the cupcakes but when you bite into one, its not what you thought it would taste like.. as it looks a lot better than the actual flavour. One time I had one, the chocolate cake was so crumbly it didn't really stand up with the weight of the icing, and the other time I had one the cake was quite dry...it tastes like a cakemix, not made from scratch?

We've been here several times, usually theres a long lineup on the weekends if you get there after 11:30 am. Be patient. Usually the shrimp/pork dumplings are fairly big ones and steaming hot, occasionally they'll say they've ran out of the shrimp ones and their steaming another batch... but the wait seems long.. best thing is to get there early like before 11:00 am..

good hot wonton soup

I've been here many times and the different types of noodles you can get in their wonton soup makes a complete lunch especially good on a cold day. The wonton are a good size too and quite filling. The potstickers taste best fried.
