Been here at least 3 times with different groups of friends. Always had a good dining experience.
I'm not a big curry fan but I love the pad thai they make here. Maybe a little higher quality of beef would push the dish over the top. You definitely get a bang for your buck. The portion sizes here are huge and even their lunch menu is decently priced for the amount of food you receive.
I will be back for sure.
My sister, her boyfriend, and I decided to try this place out for lunch today. The restaurant looked promising when we got there and all of us loved the decor and ambiance of the place. It's only downfall is the giant wall that seperates the front lobby area from the dinning area; it was hard for the waiters to see us come in, we had to walk past the lobby into the dining area for him to see us.
We were seated quickly as there was only 3 other occupied tables. We all ordered from the lunch menu ordering the chicken pad thai, sweet and sour chicken with rice, and the red curry with chicken. All we can say is the food was SO sweet! It was syrup-like sweetness that made it hard for us to eat. While the pad thai was alright, it didn't have that authentic tangy tartness that I've come to love about the dish. The red curry was hot (which was expected) but that strange sweetness we found in all the dishes made it difficult to eat; even the dressing for the salad was sweet!
The waiter had mentioned earlier that their chef liked things sweet when I had asked for more tea for my Thai Milk Ice Tea (which was too sugary also), but we were not expecting the food to be sugary!
If sugary and sweet is how you prefer your thai food then this is your restaurant. Unfortunately, the food here is not for us. However I'd like to mention the waiter we had was excellent and fast. He was always there when we needed something and was very friendly.
When we got to the restaurant it was busy and crowded. We were seated quickly by the one waitress working. She gave us no introduction and left for about 5 minutes to do whatever. We ordered quickly and so the waiting began. We sat there for close to 50 minutes before our food came. I had tried on 2 separate occasions to flag down our waitress to ask what was taking so long but she never paid any attention to us. The one time she spent 10 minutes talking to some friends that had come in and completely ignored us. It was no better with the other older man waitering.
Finally when the food did come it was disgusting. The Spaghetti Ala Carbanara was greasy, dry and tasteless; the bacon wasn't even cut into pieces and some still linked together. The Spaghetti with italian sausage tasted like it came from a store bought can. The pasta itself was undercooked. We didn't even bother waiting around to complain about the service and the food. We already wasted 2 hours just waiting.
Never once did our waitress ask how the food was or even came by to refill our drinks. My boyfriend ended up sharing my glass of water with me because we could not get a hold of ANYONE. They need to learn to treat all their customers equally and not provide the better service to customers they already know.
We will NEVER set foot in this place again.
