I'm giving the place a rating of 4 overall, simply because it's nice to have something different to try and the quality is better than what I'd call Solid (which is a 3)
So that said, the crepes really are well done here, delicious & well-priced. A wonderfull array of fillings, both savoury & sweet. I'm a big crepe fan, these definitely rank up there with any I've had in a restaurant anywhere in Van/ Greater Van. They even have some yummy Jamaican treats for dessert to round out the experience.
My suggestion is to go give them a try, especially the next time you're considering Denny's or Ihop- you'll be very pleased wtih yourself.
I finally took a trip & a friend over to 12th St to try Asuka out, it's well-worth the trip from anywhere in the Tri-Cities. I eat alot of sushi, a fair bit of all Japanese and my share of Korean so please trust me when I say this is simply good food.
They have the usual suspects (rolls, nigiri etc); all seemed very fresh and very well-priced. They have some nice combo's listed, as well as some interesting features- I had the 'Red Dragon (or something like that) which was red snapper in a light tempura... delicious. A very gracious older gentleman brought our food to our table, bowing all the way. The staff we met were Korean, and offer some nice spicy flair to the traditional menu items. The gyoza were the best I've had, vegetarian.
Order your meal and enjoy:
Green tea: FREE- brewed & waiting for you
Miso Soup: FREE- same. woot!
Atmosphere- nada really. Clean, sparse, a few tables. Not really a 'date place' but definitely a place to enjoy with people when it's all about the food. Can't wait to bring more friends to this place!
