I went to Asuka sushi because it was the closest Japanese restaurant from my place, but it turned out to be a great surprise!

The restaurant is very small and far from fancy, but you can get good sushi for great price. They have $4.99 lunch special which is one of the best I've seen in Vancouver for volume and taste. They also have great tempra and salmon teriyaki and Bento.

We just went there as a 5 people group for lunch today. We had Sushi/Tempra/Chicken Teriyaki that we couldn't finish for $10 per person. Where else you can get that kind of deal these days? Besides they have very creative fusion sushi that you enjoy trying out and finding your favorites.

It might not be the best sushi out there, but if you consider overall value including price and services, it is definitely on my top 5 list.

The chef/staff is very friendly, but again they don't have many seats and a server. So it is not a great place if you are looking for a nice atomosphere and enjoy the dining experience. However, they have delivery service and welcome take aways. If you are having a party/guests at home, it's a great place to order from. They are very consistent for taste, volume and services. You will be very satisfied for the food you get, and how little you pay. You don't feel like going back to those overpriced sushi restaurants all over Vancouver anymore!
