The first time I went to Library Square Public House I went with a large group of people. To start things off, we were told that we were unable to make a reservation, even though we were a group of over 20 people, and we were also told we were unable to have seperate bills. Despite that, we decided to go anyway.
So we came in, and to our luck, there was a large round table that was empty. We sat down, and were quickly told we'd have to move because this table was reserved! Fine. We moved...
The service was so slow. It wasn't even packed with people, but our server was very difficult to track down. We spent a long time trying to settle the bill (so many people, and only 1 bill issued).
I asked to speak to the manager. I explained that our whole party was frustrated with the service and that I would never want to come back. He was very calm and apologetic and gave me a card for a free round of drinks if I ever chose to come back.
About 7 months after that I was out with some friends, looking for a place to have some drinks and a meal. I remembered the card in my wallet, and decided to give Library Square the benefit of the doubt.
This time was even worse than the first! It was early in the evening, and the place was very quiet. We sat out on the patio. Our server was so rude. She seemed to have forgotten about us for long periods of time. We ordered the burger and brew, and my friend asked if she could get a veggie burger with that deal, and was told no.
Our server actually rolled her eyes when we asked for a pitcher of water and glasses. She got our drinks wrong, and when she gave me the beer I didn't order, I told her this was wrong, she said in a very rude tone "No, that's right." Our jaws dropped, and she walked off.
Needless to say, we will NEVER set foot in this place again. My friend did ask to speak to the manager and explained the situation, we filled out a comment card, paid our bill (no tip) and we left it at that...
