Earls901 W. Broadway, Vancouver
not what it used to be

tonight i went here with my lady friend, i haven't been here in at least 5 years, now i remember why. service was extremely slow and the food was mediocre, sadly it just wasn't what it used to be back in the days. earls really needs to get their game on, the keg and all that have changed with the times and earls in still in the early 90s.
decor was bland, food was boring, and it was pretty empty for the most part.
perhaps a decent place to hang out with friends, but definitely not for a date.

my friend started working there so while i waited for her to get off work i had a bite. the sushi wasn't too bad though the portions were small and the sashimi was cut into huge chunks. that put me off a bit, but it was okay. it's a little small family owned restaurant by 2 brothers and so service was somewhat slow since there was only one person in the kitchen and my friends and another person watching the front.
takoyaki were frozen, not fresh--avoid.
other that that it was a average small sushi joint similar to others, nothing special.
