Slow Service but great value
Submitted Saturday, February 7, 2009 - 3:36am [Dine in]

I come here on occasion because my friend brings me here. I do admit that this place provides outstanding value for its food. Regarding food the food here is not ok though it is not the best of quality. It makes you feel like you are in a cheap buffet or cheap all you can eat restaurant. The service here is quite slow as I had to wait 25 min for my food and a very long time for my drink. I asked 4 times for water and they kept saying wait a moment and I eventually got it. yikes!! I requsted medium rare on my steak grill and I got something well done. I complained and the service staff responds by saying thats the way its supposed to be. WTF? The ambiance however, is quite decent with nice lighting and tables but I would not return here unless all my friends requested so.

Solid Overall

This restaurant is good for a quick bite if your in the mood for pasta. This ambiance in this place isn't bad. The decor is very old fashioned and its nice to assume that all Spaghetti factory restaurants are like that. Food wise the food here is pretty tasty. With you meal you have a choice of soup or salad. I wish that you could have both. It won't blow me out of the water but it great for what you pay for. They even sell movie tickets in this location as you can buy a meal and go next door to silver city afterwards for a movie. Value wise I would give it higher marks as it is nicely priced. The service is pretty good however, it is kind of slow as you have to wait for quite awhile for some attention. Anyways I would recommend this restaurant when you feel like pasta but don't want to spend a lot.

Awesome All You Can Eat!!

This is one of my first reviews as I am new to this site. I have actually been to many Japanese all you can eat restaurants in Vancouver and I must say that this is one of the very best ones available. Ambiance wise it doesn't feel much like a Japanese restaurant when you walk in but regardless it is. I am giving them higher points because they have super huge tables. I could lie down on the table to eat. The food is quite tasty and fresh. The Agedashi Tofu was one of my favourites as well as the Chicken Teriyaki. I loved the crispy skin. It was crispy without being deep fried like Kentucky Fried Chicken. Awesome. The service is also quite attentive. The service staff is friendly and they actually speak english here. Quite professional too. I have been to so many restaurants where they can't speak english that well at all. Its like traveling internationally. They actually clean your tables very nicely and provide drinks at a speedy rate. Value wise you just can't beat it. I can't buy groceries for that price. I can eat like a horse. One thing to mention though is that these guys are pretty strict on customers finishing the food so you better everything that you order and lick the plate because you can't even waste rice in this place otherwise you pay the price!! Its hard no to over order when they have some many choices of good food to choose from. Other than that this is place provides a feast for kings.
