After a busy afternoon shopping at robson street, my friend and I decided to go for sushi, and not knowing exactly were to go, we decided to try Tsunami, since is fairly popular and all the signs of awards received by the place sounded promising. We were greeted at the door by a very un-friendly woman, who was clearly very tired of dealing with customers. We asked for a table for two, and she asked if we wanted the window or the bar, and since we were hungry we told her that id did not matter, whatever was faster was fine, as she reply that the bas was faster, so we sat down to wait. a group of three people came by and were seated, then a couple, and then one more couple, and they were all seated and ordering food, and we were still waiting! we asked the angry lady what was going on, and she keept angryily saying "but they are seated by the window, and you said you wanted the bar, and the bar is faster!" looking at us like we were stupid. not understanding what the problem was with the window (later we realized, is coverd by som construction stuff) and how come the bar was faster, we were finally told we could sit by the bar; I have to say, is the worst "service" i've received in a very long time. Now to the food: every single little dish of wasabi looked old, and as another reviewer mentioned, some of the dishes are absolutely unknown for the unexperienced sushi eater, and there is not a lot of people to ask questions to. Some of the rolls were ok, but some tasted like they have been seating there for a while. I can assure you, I've had better and much cheaper sushi at Fujiya, so the boat thing is just not worth it.
