Ruby Chinese Restaurant2228 McAllister Ave, #105A, Port Coquitlam
Worst Chinese Food

My boyfriend and I decided to eat there. The restaurant is very run down and needs a lot of work. It looked dirty but we tried to not let it get to us just in case we might be impressed. Unfortunately, it was anything but impressive. The food was greasy and did not taste fresh at all. The dumplings tasted like those that I could buy from T&T supermarket. The servers were very noisy and there is a very ungly fish tank full of dirty looking fish too...makes me wonder...All in all, very disgusting and I would not reccomend anyone eat there.

Delicious Thai Cuisine

My boyfriend and I decided to eat here one night. The atmosphere was superbly rich with Thai culture. It was very impressive. We decided to order a green chicken curry medium spiced. Unfortunately, it was spicier than we expected and my boyfriend doesn't handle spice as well as I do. However, it is authentic Thai... We also ordered desert- fried ice cream with a nice berry sauce. Overall, the food was delicious and the presentation was enticing. Service was also great and the waitress was more than happy to bring my boyfriend a pitcher of water for his flaming mouth. We left with just one complaint- the food was overpriced. Delicious, but too expensive. Presently, it is the only Thai restaurant that I know of in the area and thus they pretty much have a monopoly in terms of what they have to offer. It would definitely be better if the price matched the portions.

Most disgusting take out...

We decided to try something new one night for dinner. Aroma was a fairly new restaurant and we hadn't really had Indian cuisine before so we decided to expand our pallets. Well, unfortunately it was very disappointing. We ordered tandoori chicken, butter chicken and naan. There was barely any meat at all and the sauce was much too runny. The tandoori was overcooked and the naan was oily. Fortunately, the restaurant did not last long and it did not sway me from experiencing Indian food elsewhere.
