I'll start with the food. Disgusting. Fresh sushi should never smell like fish. It should never be slimy like fish. It should never be off in colour. My salmon, tai, hokkigai and ebi were all discoloured warm and rancid. That's right, even the ebi. I didn't know it could GO bad, but remarkably it did.
My california roll was rice with what could have been big mac sauce. Warm funky mayonaisse. Perhaps there was crab in there. Perhaps there wasn't.
Miso soup was cool and salty. Chicken teriyaki was over cooked, crunchy and off.
I was greeted with a "2? 4? 2 k over there" and my order was taken in a prompt 15 minutes. I was served my water and tea 20 minutes after I sat down.
The ambiance was miserable, as it seemed everyone eating there that night was as hungry, annoyed and sick as I was.
I would have been annoyed paying $5 towards my $40 bill. I talked to the manager and left without paying a dime. I still feel as though I was ripped off.
