New favorite place for Vietnamese vegetarian food
Submitted Thursday, August 9, 2012 - 3:18pm [Dine in]

My husband and I visited this place last weekend. We order the Hue style noodle soup, springrolls, lemongrass tofu with rice and traditional vegetarian Pho. The food were excellent, very tasty. The broth of both soups are to die for, tasty but light. I didnt seem to have any allergic reaction to MSG so i assumed they dont use MSG. We also confirmed like 10 times to make sure no food were made from egg (for the shake of my vegetarian hubby). I am myself a "meat eater" and i tried the traditional Hue noodle soup before, this version at this restaurant comes very close to the traditional one but need a little bit more kick for heat. The springrolls fillings are way better than other vegetarian springrolls out there (but my homemade versions at home are still the best :D).

Anyhow, the service was fast and friendly. The place was clean when we visited. The atmosphere is a bit underwhelming though (but they are new and they can work on it).

To sum up, we Love love love the food here much more than Paradise Noodle House (even though Paradise has my favorite lemongrass chicken and other dish with eggplants). Good value since the price is quite cheap.

Also notice, the lady that's always there..she never smile ...lol...sounds a bit rude but my hubby calls her "dragon lady"...still havent figured out why's "dragon"...

ok food but way over priced!!!

My husband and I went to Chada last weekend. We were very excited at the first moment because of the food aroma and the service. The lady who serve us is very nice and attentive. The food came out really fast. The 1st dish was papaya salad with coconut sticky rice. It was really good and tasty but really spicy for us even though we did ask for below mild level. 2nd one was spring rolls with a big pile of deep fry vermicell noodle on top (3 rolls for $9-ouchchchch). They came with no sauce which is unusual since most of the place will give u sauce with spring rolls. 3rd and 4th dishes are entres. Mine was sautee rice noodle with pork and egg in oyster sauce.- very tasty I found. My husband's entry was rice and sautee tofu in peanut sauce. He just finished a third of that small portion and couldnt continue. I asked for the reason and he said the sauce tasted just like a Thai can sauce that he bought from a store before.

Overall, I would not give it a poor rating if it's not for the price. Way over priced. Our dinner came to $56, with small portions.

1 thing we found funny is the deep fry vermicell noodle the chef put on every dish to garnish. I dont think anyone's gonna eat it.

Sure the food taste good for me but it is doable at home too.

Terrible service

Went there last Sunday. It wasn't busy when we got in. Cashier not even know what's on their menu. She charged us wrong price instead of combo price. Then, another cashier apologized with full of excuses "well, it is tourist season". What's that has anything to do with "tourist season"???? It's summer so you can rip off customers, I guess. Food was good BUT Overpriced, under fed, with pretentious servers.

Warning: should not come to this restaurant
Submitted Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - 6:13pm [Dine in]

My husband and I came to this restaurant for about 3 or 4 times when we were in the area and craving for Greek food.
The food here is OK, good but not special. However, it is way over priced. I did order a halibut plate with salad, rice, roast potato and some veggie. The halibut is over cooded. Rice and potato is good ( but it's not that hard to cook rice and potato, isn't it???), "Greek" salad here is always filled with cucumer and few pieces of tomato (I thought it should come with tomato, red and green pepper). For the salad, everytime I came here, they gave me 1 tiny piece of lemon.
Service: this is 1 reason that my husband and I decided to not coming back. Everytime we came, we have to wait for 10 or 15 minutes before we can be seat even though there are only 3 or 4 groups of customers in the restaurant. The waitresses walked by, told us to wait without a smile or any greeting.
Food came pretty fast but service is terrible. Wait and wait again for bill to come, bill return, get back our credit card. It took about 40 minutes after we were done with the food to be able to get out of that place.
