Poor Birthday Dinner
Submitted Thursday, April 15, 2010 - 9:53pm [Dine in]

My friends and I had a birthday dinner at the restaurant for 60 people. Service was very poor, servers didn't serve us water till after an hour and a half. Management was unprofessional. Food was very bland.

I had a great experience there before, but will never go back again.

Pretty good
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 7:00pm [Dine in]

My boyfriend has been waiting to try Chambar for over a year now, and we finally did for the Dining Out for Life Event on Thursday.

The food was good but not very much the value, We had the rabbit cannelloni, there were really little meat not even a table spoon, way too expensive we thought.
I had the lamb for entree and thought that it was pretty unique on what it was served on and how it was presented it you, and it was a little interactive as well, where we choose to either dump the couscous in or not. Furthermore, the lamb was a really good portion size. My boyfriend had the duck and that wasn't as good. it came out a little cold and the portion size was sub par, it was not a good value at all, again.

For dessert we had the baked Alaska, it was excellent, it was our best course there.

I would definitely go back to try the mussels there.

Dine Out 2009
Submitted Friday, January 16, 2009 - 8:24pm [Dine in]

My boyfriend and I had the vegetable soup and scallop with prawns for appetizer. The ribs for entree. The creme brulee and strawberry mousse for desert.

The food didn't come out hot, it was just warm which is one of my dislikes going to a restaurant. However, the food were not too bad but was definetly expecting way more, because a regular entree would cost about $40.00. Overall, it was just an average meal to me.

New Years Eve
Submitted Tuesday, January 6, 2009 - 7:47pm [Dine in]

My boyfriend and I had the New Years Eve menu and it was superb! I discovered this restaurant through opentables.com where it was voted one of the best food category

The value for the food offered with the 4 course menu was exceptional compared to other menus being offered through other restaurants.
Service was great, will definietly recommend!
Is a neighbourhood gem!
