We love Akasaka!
The restaurant is in a lovely little heritage house.
The food is always good, the fish is fresh and the menu inventive.
It is mid to high mid priced to eat in but very economical to order their tray's to go.
This is my family's favorite picnic food.
I am extremely picky about freshness and I have never had any problems with their sushi.
The owners have a lot of pride in their business and you can taste the love in their food.
This place is a hidden gem.
Highly recommended!
I have bought from this restaurant twice.
The 1st time I just ordered some hot and sour soup as I was sick. As far as I can remember it was tolerable but I was sick and my taste buds were gone so who knows.
The 2nd time my son and I went in and sat down and it was terrible. The service was beyond rude. Our food was thrown at us and the lady acted like she was doing us a big favor doing that. She was also very rude to her delivery staff in front of the whole restaurant, it was extremely uncomfortable.
The food was terrible , greasy , slimy and made from the ingredients that were to brown and limp ... basically to old to be served.
I would never set foot in this restaurant again. There is not one nice thing I can think of to say about it.
My husband and I like to go the the Jolly Coachman for our date nights .. it is stumbling distance from our house, so we can both have a drink or two and not worry about getting home.
The food is good for pub food and the specials are usually even better.
Lots of TV's to watch sporting goods and the place gets hopping on the weekend.
Nice older crowd.
Weight staff are friendly and efficient.
We both recommend this pub it is a comfortable place to visit
We have been to this Boston Pizza location around 4 times and every time has been regrettable.
They make up weird rules with the kids meals and change the offers.
The wait staff is not great, the greeters are often to busy chatting with friends to bother with clients and and the place tends to be messy too.
The Boston Pizza in Coquitlam is much better and worth the drive for the better service and food
I have to say that the Maple Ridge Keg is the worst I have ever been to.
I have been three times.
The 1st was so bad I wrote the district manager to let him know about my experience.
The staff, which is usually outstanding at the Keg, in this one is not. They are unprofessional bordering on ridiculous.
If you are used to expecting the best from the Keg, then this is not the one to visit.
I would recommend it be avoided.
Maple Ridge has other much better steak houses.
I have gone to Silks a few times now and every time is a treat.
I can taste the love in the food.
Kitchen is out in the open, so you know it is foodsafe.
Great place to go if you want yummy homemade food for lunch or dinner.
I have had the smoothies, the panini, different salads and dips and the pecan pie is the best I have ever had - Bar None. I also loved the marinated olives - YUM!
I highly recommend this cafe!
It has not let me down yet.
Cheers,
This place has yet to dissapoint. The all you can eat is a good value and like many other places it is not Japanese food cooked by Koreans. As the 1st poster mentioned the decor is unusal for a Japanese restaurant . This place used to be a really great Italian pasta place ... I still miss it. Though I think the new owners are a wonderful addtion to our local restaurants. We have quite a few Japanese restaurants in the Ridge/ Meadows area and I feel this one is the best. The service is super friendly though obviously not professional. The fish is always fresh. I would recommend it ... and have
This place rocks if you have little ones but miss going to the pub. They have a restaurant side that is divided with the bar. There is a fully ventilated smoking room and the smell stays in it. OUt side deck is nice on a sunny day. Food is okay ... pretty good for pub food. I always enjoy it.
Ilove this place and go often. The best deal in the house is the fish sub for $5.95 and they are open to changing the fish to halibut for a small fee. It is well worth the extra $ to get the halibut. I would highly recommend the halibut .They also have calamari which is hit and miss. It is a great deal but sometimes over cooked or really small tough pieces. Fries are fresh cut.Food is good quality. They have an all you can eat Halibut dinner on Thursdays. They do take out but not delivery. This is one of my favorite local restaurants.
Cool interior and the food is dependly okay but certainly not outstanding. If you like cute waitresses there is usually one working. The Corned beef hash is horrible, they use cut up fries instead of hash browns. Burgers and Sandwiches are ok. They have loads of milkshake flavors. Seemed like quite a few drug dealers where hanging out there. They used to be opne 24 hours and then changed it so maybe that cleaned it up a little. Don't get me wrong not all the patrons were of that element, loads of old timers hang out to. I am not sure if I would recommend this restaurant to anyone but if you wanted to hang out with friends over coffee and get a cheap burger it might be worth trying.
I love Habaneros food. There are big portions and the fresh in house made Salsas are amazing! Good service and the company contributes to the community. Though they us a Hummer to advertise which kind of turns me off! But besides that I would very Highly recommended them!
This place has a great view and interesting historic photos and furniture but if the smell of smoke turns you off, don't bother. Staff seems pleasant, though it is a pub so don't set your hopes to high. Food is generous portions at decent prices and is pretty good for pub food which seems to be hit and miss in most places.
I love this place for their cakes! They make beautiful fresh fruit cakes. They are perfect for after a birthday dinner, light, tasty and stunning to look at. Staff is helpful though English is not the 1st language of many/most of the employees and it is best to bring your patience and a smile. I highly recommend them to all my friends!
