Pretty Bad
Submitted Wednesday, August 19, 2009 - 11:33am [Dine in]

Went here for the Tuesday night beer special ($7 pitchers). Despite there being many seats available, they made people wait outside. Definitely ghetto, as another reviewer mentioned. On Tuesdays, it seems to cater to the hostel crowd, but to be expected for cheap pitchers.

While it was a great value for the specials (cheap sliders, grilled cheese, mac and cheese), the other food was awful. Had the yam fries (pretty bad), trio of dips (also bad) and spinach salad (worst salad I have ever had, covered in burnt garlic).

I just couldn't imagine coming here for a bottle of wine and appies when there are so many other decent wine bars around.

Better Than Expected.

The Good: Great, tasty food. Nice atmosphere. Good cocktails. Pleasant staff.

The Bad: Long wait, sent our appetizers to the wrong table (eventually sorted out, didn't have to pay for them).

Overall: Not worth a 45 minute wait, but a nice change from the usual mexican/tex-mex restaurants in town. Would go back if I was in the neighborhood and there was no line-up.

So Tasty and Healthy
Submitted Wednesday, February 11, 2009 - 10:23pm [Dine in]

I work nearby and eat here a few times a week.

Its a take-out kiosk in an awful mall, open only from 10-6pm. However, the food is delicious, healthy vegan fare and is very reasonably priced. The menu usually consists of a soup, several stews and casseroles, along with salads and sandwiches. They even carry vegan cheesecake.

The owners are so nice and caring; I just wished they were open longer or in a more desirable location.

Major Disappointment
Submitted Friday, December 5, 2008 - 10:19pm [Dine in]

We were excited about a new restaurant just up the street from our home. We were debating between waiting in line at Italian Trattoria and Piato, and ended up trying out this new Greek restaurant. What a disappointment.

The atmosphere is okay, but a bit sterile. Our tablecloth had red wine stains, as did my napkin. We could forgive this if the food was great, but it certainly was not.

I ordered the vegetarian moussaka, which was decent but quite small, but was accompanied with a barely edible salad due to the excess vinegar in the dressing. My partner ordered the souvlaki, which was awful. A very small amount of meat, on a pita covered with raw onions and french fries!! For 15 dollars, I would expect potatoes or rice and a salad. This isn't McDonalds. This isn't a street stand in Europe; its a reasonable nice restaurant in a very competitive market and it definitely does not live up to its expectations. I will not be back, despite its proximity to home, and will be insisting that none of my friends or neighbors eat at this over-hyped, over-priced restaurants.

A great place to bring out of towners
Submitted Wednesday, April 12, 2006 - 3:05pm [Dine in]

I always bring my out of town guests here - I think the number of flavours is up to 210!! It can get excessively busy and it can be difficult to get taste samples, but its definitely worth it. Some flavours are hit and miss, but if you choose correctly, you can get the most amazing gelato. Worth the drive.

Below average, at best
Submitted Wednesday, April 12, 2006 - 2:59pm [Dine in]

Went here for lunch recently and it was very reasonably priced. However, the curries were bland and the naan was undercooked. I was embarassed to have recommended as meeting place for lunch with friends. The fast-food Indian place up the hill at City Square food court is much better for the same price.
