There were no milestones in my gastronomic experience at Milestones Restaurant. But it was still a pleasant experience. The food was good and the company was good.
Ambience and Service
We were seated by the atrium type window and it was almost like having a table out on the patio except it was sheltered. It was a on a Friday night, just before the Halloween weekend, which might explain why it wasn't busy in the restaurant. But that meant we had prompt, attentive and friendly service. Though this "could be" the typical service no matter how quiet or busy they are.
Food
Chicken Masala was my choice and Chicken Pesto Fettucini was chosen by my companion. It appears we both like chicken and ethnic cuisine that begin with the letter "I". "I" also is the first letter of the word interesting which could be used to describe the Chicken Masala. It was a fusion of Indian and Asian cuisine described in the menu as "tender pieces of chicken breast sauteed in a Masala curry sauce with steamed bok choy, served over jasmine rice and topped with mango chutney". It is certainly an interesting fusion, including the presentation where the bok choy was served whole and centered in the middle of the dish. The dish was mildly spiced and I loved the touch of mango chutney.
Price and Summary
Priced at $16.99, it was an average price for chain restaurants like Milestones or Earls or Cactus Club. The one thing I like about chain restaurants is that you know what to expect, there is consistency (I hope) in general. We didn't order drinks, though a glass of wine would have been nice with our meal but not worth the expensive penalties from our new tough impaired driving laws. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
