So we decided to give this place a try, despite having read many poor reviews. After all we do live in Steveston, and this is so close and convenient for us. Well needless to say, we will continue to drive to the other side of the city to Tandoori Kona (our favorite Indian restaurant).
We ordered Naan, Butter Chicken, and Palak Paneer; these are our usual fave dishes that we order whenever we go to an Indian restaurant. The flavour of the dishes were acceptable, although not as good as our usual place (Tandoori Kona). What was the most dissapointing however, was the amount of chicken and cheese in the respective dishes. There was a grand total of 4 cubes of chicken (each ~ 2.5cm cubed) in the Butter Chicken. My wife couldn't beleive her eyes. The Palak Paneer had a grand total of 6 cubes of cheese. We felt like we payed $25 for 2 containers of sauce!!
After reading the previous reviews on small portions and rude service, we thought that it was due to the "Entertainment Coupon" effect; yes I know it shouldn't matter but my experience is that it does effect the service/food portions. We, however, did not use any coupons and we still got ripped off!
Will never go to this restaurant again. It's somewhat amazing that it has stayed in business so long.

Nice little hole in the wall restaurant. Reminds me of a typical cantina in Mexico.
I like the chicken enchalada with mole sauce and a side of tacos al pastor. Wash it all down with a tall glass of horchata!!!
Well prepared food, and good sized portions.
TV that plays telemundo is fun to watch!!

Went to this restaurant with 7 friends.
The service and ambiance was pretty good.
I wouldn't say that the food was all that great; I've been to several places in Vancouver that is more authentic and serves better food.
I would say that I was somewhat disappointed in the meal; it's definately not a restaurant that I would go out of my way to go to.
Oh yeah....it's sort of out in the middle of nowhere, stuck between the Steveston docks and Garry Point park.
