This pub is in one of the worst areas of Vancouver, crackheads and criminals everywhere you look!
We went there to hear my friends band and I don't care how good they are, we'd NEVER go back to On The Edge, no way they'll find many customers in that part of town, plus the bartender didn't know how to make a screwdriver, c'mon it's Vodka & OJ mate, he looked at us like we were idiots.
It was dead, only 2 customers and the sound the girl had going was terrible, avoid this place there are far better spots to catch a drink and a band in Vancouver.
I agree with the last review, my husband and I live in the area and have been going there for many years.
Decent food, but great live music most often, I love the jam and reggae nights.
I have not been there in a long time, the service has gone right downhill, one is completely at the mercy of what kind of a day the server is having which 9 out of 10 visits is very bad.
I've never seen a staff texting (whoever) so much whilst working, no wonder the waitresses aren't around ever.
Shouldn't they be looking after clients instead of making everyone feel exposed to their loud yelling or whatever?
Most servers are extremely rude, the ol' Gull used to have really great service staff who never acted this way and knew when not to be intrusive.
I've met the owners before and they seem very nice, can't understand why they don't fix the problem.
Meanwhile I've been going elsewhere.
