Well, I went into the "new and improved" Yaletown Miletone's, to find the place a complete disaster. Although, one of the only things that brought me in there was that the renovation looks great. Besides the decor, as soon as I came in the new glass door, the hostess almost looked angry that I even came in. I ended up getting sat in the bar area, where there were flies everywhere. I was constantly swatting at them. Disgusting. The food was good, as usual. I had the chicken foccacia sandwich. The food is the only reason I will return. As for service, it seems as though they understaff their employees, so the service, of course, is lacking because of bad management. I've worked in restaurants in past years, so I know the works of how to get a restaurant to run properly. Our server ended up apologizing to us more than anything, because our food was taking a little bit too long. I find that the kitchen gets completely bogged down if it gets slightly busy. The busier it gets, the slower it gets. That is why Milestones gets a bad rep. Although I will return for the food, the restaurant itself has some definite fixing to do.
