(2.7) (2.5) (2) (3.5) (3)Bon's has become our favourite place for a cheap breakie (2.95 all day breakie with 1.00 coffee) with a tip is just over $5. Great if you're low on cash, and have family members to feed but want to get out. You just have to overlook the lack of cleanliness, and the attitude of some of the servers. Once you get your food, they really don't take any care in refilling coffee, or God forbid you forget to ask for something. Good luck chasing them down. But Bon is great, I just wish the Commissionair was there more often as his presence always made me smile, and I always had a hot cup of coffee! Refills with a smile when he's there.
I was really disappointed today when I went to one of my favourite mall outlets for their fresh food that is cooked in front of you, consisting of steamed rice, fresh veggies and chicken terriyaki. I've never had a bad meal there until today. Usually everything is cooked up fresh, but this time the chicken was precooked then reheated. It was dry and crunchy in some spots, not appealing at all. They are always so great there, but next time I will insist they use fresh chicken or I will not continue being a patron. It was a Sunday.
