Hands down easily the best breakfast place in town!
Love the family owned small restaurant feel and the food is excellent. I love the eggs benedict here and scones and their carrot cake is to die for! the breakfast potatoes that go with the meal are crispy, have a nice mild kick and wonderful flavour.
The service is friendly. I always go during "off" times so it's not busy and service is prompt and quick. I have heard when it is busy (especially on weekend morning) that service slows down quite a bit.
Strongly encourage visiting this restaurant!

A year and a half ago I moved into the White Rock area and I went to the Grape Leaf as it looked like a great family owned restaurant. I craved pancakes and it turned out it was a few minutes after the time they serve pancakes, so I left and found somewhere else to get pancakes. But because the waitress had said the pancakes were made from scratch it had me intrigued to come back and check it out. So, I came back the next day at 10am, sat down at a table ordered a coffee and when the waitress came to take my order I asked for pancakes. She said they did not have pancakes available. She then proceeded to let me know that she could not guarantee any of the items on the menu were available and said that if I chose to leave the coffee was on the house. I thought to myself that I had never encountered a restaurant that provided a menu and then proceeded to let you know the items on it may or may not be available.
Fast forward a year and a half later. Yesterday, my favourite breakfast restaurant was closed so I decided to give the Grape Leaf another go, thinking to myself maybe I had just had bad luck the last two times. Sat down and looked at the menu. The waitress said two items on the breakfast menu were available (there was a list of a bunch more). I guess that didn't register in my brain and I ordered coffee. She came to take my order and I ordered an eggs benedict. She said that it is made from scratch, as were the pancakes, and it was not available. Then let me know that if I wished to leave the coffee was on the house. I left.
Maybe the food is great, maybe the value is great. I'll never know because this is one restaurant I will not go back to. 3 strikes and you are out!
