THE dosa place to go to
Submitted Monday, May 21, 2012 - 11:54pm [Dine in]

This is THE place to go for dosas. If you are serious about them and want quality this is it.

There are several other dosa places in the lower mainland and believe me I’ve been to all of them. I haven’t been to a place that serves’ bad dosas but didn’t find a place that served realy good ones wither until I came here.

Service here is good too it’s prompt and courteous

• Food: I’m really not the biggest fan of their food however this is the place to chill and with your friends it’s cozy and warm. I love the cheese and broccoli soup. Its amazing. The thick layers of mozzarella cheese they put on it is so good. It’s the best combination ever. It tatse even better with garlic bread.

I’ve also tried their teriyaki chicken rice bowl. It has a weird pungent gingery flavour to it. I just cant push it down my throat. I know a lot of people like that. Also their jambalaya rice bowl isn’t superb.

I love their yam fries with the dip that they give on the side its goes great with drinks.

Also their chocolate lava cake is an indulgence of its own. It’s soo good.

THE BEST SOUTH INDIAN FOOD IN CANADA FOR SURE

• Food: My dad who is the most difficult to please when it comes to eating Indian food outside is in love with this place. If my dad says this is good. It is fantabulous!! I cant say there is one dish on the buffet that doesn’t taste amazing. You will relish every bite. The servers come to you and serve you fresh dosas, naans and poories which are made hot every few minutes.

I have never been to a buffet like this before the food is being cooked fresh every few minutes. It is a place you must go to.

• Service: All servers are extremely polite and will make sure you have been taken care of. If you want some fresh idlis or vadas they’ll come and serve it to you. They will come after ever few minutes and ask if you need something else. These servers really take good care of you!! And will ensure you’re left more than satisfied.

• Value: I’ve never seen a place which gives you unlimited doasas/ naans/ vadas/ idlis. This place is so worth it. For just 12 bucks you can get a whole lot of great tasting food.

Ambiance: good and clean exactly what I look

Over priced food with ridiculously small portions

• Food: Some of the dishes undoubtedly taste good. But I can guarantee you a 13 dollar dish will not be enough to fill your tummy.

I’m a big fan of their chicken seekh kebab platter with the red sauce they have on the table. It’s delicious. But all they give is 2 skewers of kebabs with some fries.

We also ordered chicken tikka. It’s supposed to be soft and spicy but it was tough and some what like flavoured rubber. I’ve had much better chicken tikkas in all other places.

Their fries are really good. That’s all my boy friend ate from there. He didn’t like any of the dishes.

• Service: The server had a smirk heer face all the time. It was grossly annoying.

• Value: VALUE?? WHAT VALUE this place a complete rip off.

• Food: Maybe I just tried the wrong dish. I’d order tofu broccoli. It didn’t taste like anything I’d thought it would taste like. In fact the soy sauce gravy tasted like mud. It was a major disappointment. But I’ll definitely come back and try something else. I’m sure their other dishes are way better. Plus the cook dumped 10 tablespoons of sesame seeds right on top. That made it worse.

Won't go again

We've been here a few times just cause of the atmosphere and how it has a cozy feel to it.

Food: The food is not all that superb. I've tried their pizzas. Honestly i don’t know what the fuss is all about. We've tried their green monster pizza and EL Diablo. Both times when we ordered the pizzas the crust was dry and there was hardly any cheese on it.

My boy friend tried their Cajun chicken club. He really didn’t care much about it.

I've tried the Thai noodles. The sauce was almost too sweet for me and the spiciness really didn’t balance it out.

Also have tried their HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE MOUSSE and I didn't like that either. I'm a sucker for anything chocolate but definitely not this one.

Service: Slow

Ambiance: Love love it

I spicailly wanted to go to this place because it swore that it made the best burgers in town. Hmmmm.. so I thought I’d check that myself.

Food: Me and my boy friend ordered veggie burgers with lettuce, onions and mayo. The sad part was they didn’t have any mayo. Kinda weird for a burger joint to have no mayo. So the cashier suggested we get the “VERA’S” Sauce. This was basically made of garlic and mayo mixed. We thought we’d give that a shot. The burgers were huge. Kinda like combining two Mc chicken burgers. So that was interesting. I’m really picky about my veggie burgers and wasn’t too sure about this one. But with the first bite I was sold. I loved it. However the Vera’s sauce really didn’t taste like anything sort of like mayonnaise diluted. It didn’t have a lot of garlicky taste to it either. The fries were crispy but nothing great. I like the face that they served beer as well.

Service: A little too slow for a fast food joint

Value: Good. The portion sizes were huge.

Ambiance: Nice and cozy.

Decent Indian food
Submitted Thursday, March 26, 2009 - 7:49pm [Dine in]

I have been to a lot of Indian restaurants and there is one dish that i crave the most which is Shahi Paneer. I didn't find one place that served good shahi paneer until i ordered it here. This place really makes good shahi paneer. Which is the only reason i drag my boy friend here.

There is nothing else that i am particularly fond of. The other curries are alright nothing special. We've tried their chicken biryani, Paneer tikka, dal makhani and chicken vindaloo. They all taste alright. I wished they;d have a bit more originality to them.

Service: So so. The servers never seem interested. The food comes after quite a wait.

Ambiance: The place looks good overall. Has a nice lounge feel to it.

Discovered this place by accident. But i'm glad I did.

Food: Can't speak much for the food as they had all meat varieties and nothing vegetarian. So we decided to order yam fries. They were ok. Until we realized they'd probably fried them in the same oil as they did with the meats.

However their bubble teas are great. There are a whole lot of choices to pick from. I love their their strawberry milk tea with pearls and also the coconut milk tea. My boyfriend is very fond of the pinacolada drink. I like their serving glasses. They are big and just really cool.

Service: not great but not bad either

Ambiance: very pretty for a such a small place.

This is one of the sexier places to hang out. The decor is so romantic and warm.
I love their martinis they are sensational. Also what i really like about this place is that they have a lot of vegetarian variety. I particularly like their coconut curry rice bowl. It's a bit on the sweeter side but its very different form everything I've tasted it.

Service: The servers are extremely friendly. Its like I've known them for a long time. Plus they know their dishes very well. Ever time I've asked them about a new dish they've always explained the flavors and the taste very well. So then I know how the dish is going to be like as opposed to being shocked and saddened with the new dish i ordered.

Ambiance: Is great. I love their interiors. It look so beautiful from the inside. I was pleasantly surprised.

If I can't decide where to go I always come back here. You just cant go wrong with this place. This is the only place where I eat any kind of meat.

Food: I always order their chili fish which is delicious. I love the fact that they cut it in strips as opposed to big chunks. It's crispier when its in strip form. Plus their chicken dumplings are so good. I've never tried better dumplings anywhere. My mom loves their vegetable manchurian. The gravy is just right. Its nice and garlicky but not too overpowering. Also their vegetable chowmein is the best chowmein ever. It goes great with their manchurian sauce.

Service: It;s alright nothing very great about it. The servers always know our order which is nice. But nothing that particularly stands out for me.

Ambiance: This place is always busy. The decor is not all that great. The tables are sometimes sticky. But whatever, the food is awesome !

Will always come back for more.

Favourite Thai Restaurant
Submitted Thursday, March 26, 2009 - 6:33pm [Dine in]

Me and my boyfriend love this place. We've been to other Thai restaurants but always come back to this one.

Food: I always order the same dish here. Just cant get over their Khaao Phat Bai Ga-Phrao. Its fried rice and its very spicy. I love it with their red curry. Just taste perfect. I don't particularly care about their Phat Thai noodles. I always found them to be a bit too sweet for my taste.

Service: I'm never impressed with their service. The servers have always had a hard time explaining the dishes to me.Which just makes ordering all the more confusing because I'm new to the cuisine. Although we've never have had to wait too long for our meals. It's always pretty fast which is a plus.

Ambiance: The decor is really nice and warm. I love the fact that the place is squeaky clean all the time. That always makes a pleasant dining experience.

Over all love this place and will always come back.
