I'd been here with friends and by myself and always had an adequate dining experience. the food had been great on my previous visits and the service wasn't too rude. so i decided to take my dad here for lunch a few months ago. i ordered a burger, which was good and my dad made the mistake of ordering the chili. chili has been a staple dinner for my family for as long as i can remember, so we know what good chili should taste like. the chili at the templeton however is bland and the beans were under cooked. not to mention the fact that our server was extremely rude, she seemed to be having a bad day which is understandable, but she didn't have to take it out on us.

i'd been here a few times with friends and once or twice alone and never had a problem. the last time i was there however, i was completely ignored by the waitress and haven't been back since. i walked over on a sunday, early, before all the other hung over mount pleasant dwellers had rolled out of bed. there were a few people in there i guess trying to beat the rush, but there were lots of empty tables. i suppose i could have just sat down at one of them, but i chose to be polite and wait by the door to be seated. the waitress was over making coffee, she looked over at me standing by the door then turned back to what she was doing. not a word said, no "i'll be right with you" or "have a seat anywhere". it's just unfortunate because i liked the green onions in the hashbrowns.
