We have been wanting to come in for a long time, but there was never time.
So we dropped in one day lunch time and had the new breakfast menu, we were surpised.
The portion was huge and everything we wanted was there. Based on the price, we would defintely
come here more often.
Especially the omelete my son ordered, omg, was tasty, hearty and totally worth it.
The bottomless coffee made the day was fresh and thick.
I would definitely come back and check out the dinner menu.
I've been searching a relaxing place to have breakfast with my family for a long time, I found this place based on the good reviews below. We were pretty surprised how much effort the cook has put into the food. The freshness and the combinations on each dish were really enjoyable. The service was definitely excellent. We especially like the coffee. However, on the downside, the menu items were lack of choices. We basically tried everything on the menu which were assembled by the same food. Anyways, a good place for quick breakfast and no wait on weekends.
OMG their lamb was the best ever. Huge, flavourful, meaty ... I don't eat anything else when I go greek restaurants. Also, their pitas were sweet and soft, unlike other places pitas were tasted heatup and hard. I gotta admit the service is not the best coz whenever I went, they were always packed. Well, under ten bucks for those meals, who doesn't want it? Just have to go a bit earlier. we went 4:30 for dinner, a bit early, but avoid a huge crowd is definitely worth it. If it weren't so far away, I would definitely go more often despite the line ups..lol.
I have been going to the same pho for many years on Austin, but it's too far for us now. Pho to us is a drop in place when we are super hungry and need soup in the late nites. We discovered it after we moved to port coquitlam. Open late, really tasty soup and fast without questions. But we just found it the portion is a bit less. Bowls are too small for the soup they put it. Other than that, great place to eat on a winter nite.
Well, I gotta agree with all the other reviews about the food. It was definitely above average. It was late afternoon on Sunday again. I ordered the lasgna. Kids ordered ultimate omelette and hubby ordered italian breakfast. Theirs were okay, not extraordinary. But I gotta admit my lasgna was really good. After they finished theirs, they moved on to my food. Cheesy and huge portion, really fit in the appetite. The coffe was never running dry. The waiter/waitress came by very often to refill which never happened at other restaurants really. We totally satisfied with the food and the service.
However, what I recieved after that night was four days of stomach aches and bathroom running. So...I really don't know whether they are good or bad. But I gotta go back and try the ribs someday. Hopefully, I would be more lucky next time.
After driving by countless times, my family and I decided to try. It's a late afternoon and not a lot of people on a Sunday. The menu was simplier than I thought. I got the rib/chicken dinner. Son got the spinach wrap and hubby got the spcial at the front page. Overall, they were all ok and better than we expected since it's not a popular restaurant in metro van. However, we realized the fries were pretty good and fresh. In fact, kids love them very much. the service was over average. She was fast and friendly, and came by to ask frequently. Just a bit delay getting our bill coz she's got a huge group to take care which was tolerable. The dessert sundae was pretty good considering they come with the meal. Overall, everything was pretty good.
My family and I dropped in on Sunday night. I could expect all the greek food are about the same. This one is a bit different. it's not crowded and outdated like other ones. The statues and the black table clothe are adding a classy feeling to it. We received calamari on the house and ordered the arni pisto aand prawn/shrimp entresses. The portion is generous on the lamb shoudler which are extremely tasty. The only thing I would recommend is the waiting time. I waited 30 mins for the entree since I ordered, and they are on the pricy side. otherwise, I would definitely come back again.
I visited Sushi Mori finally with my family. We've got the mango fusion roll and the seafood odens which are what I was very satisfied. Especially the oden soup, it was huge and tasty. It's very korean influeced flavoured, but definitely worth its buck. The service was pretty good considering there weren't too many tables at the time. We had total privacy within the corner. The only thing I would really recommend them was the tea pots. They were way way way too heavy and not hold enough tea. The waitress doesn't seem to come check very often. For someone who crazes tea like me this was a concern for sure. Overall the food was pretty good I would definitely pay another visit soon.
I totally disagree with the previous review. I dropped in one day when I went shopping at Save-On based on a friend's recommendations. The place looks really different from other traditional Jap restaurant in tri-cities. Simple, elegant and relaxing even though it's pretty small. The server is probably one of the most friendly one I've had in years. They were prompt and professional which made me totally comfortable for a first time comer. Food! Ah! PERFECTO. I thought these dishes I order would only appear in Downtown area. The chef is such an artist. the sauce around the fusion rolls - torpedo, snoopy, SOS and such, they are not just pretty , they are also tasty. What surprised me was that the garnishes around the dishes are pretty edible.
Price. pretty cheap for Japanese food. My whole family of 4 spent around 30 bucks walking out totally satisfied and stuffed.
Port Coquitlam 's got a new star. At least for me and all my friends in Port Coquitlam. Now we got a favorite place to hang out.
Like the first review said, you would truly sense a feeling of joy after you visit this place. Not kidding. You've got to try.
Oh and they shouted when you come in and out. really funny.
I seldom go to Downtown for lunch. A friend invited me over to Inlet's for a quick lunch which I was pretty satisfied. Loved the smoked salmon which was just right on the taste. The salad had a really nice vinegrette which definitely opened the appetize. It's really interesting to sit out on the patio and watched all the tourist and people walking by. Got that busy in the the middle of city feeling which I don't get in Port Coquitlam. What a relaxing afternoon meal. Value I guess its acceptable since it's on Robson. Service definitely is prompt and fast. Hopefullyl got another chance to go again when the weather is nice in Vancouver.
I really wonder why it is busy... Food is tasteless, service is really rude, value for sure it's over priced. the only thing I am ok was the decor that was changing a bit over time and lots of rooms for privacy which I need for my sons.(not to disturb other customers) It's definitely changing a lot since last few months. I could see they've got new chefs at the sushi bar and i guess the kitchen chefs too. But what a dramatic change for a restaurant with such high reputation. Probably there are more competitions to comapre to around the area, but I am getting less satisfied each time I go.
I have been to Copa twice since it was opened. Nice Food and friendly service when it wasnot busy. A bit slow but acceptable. I was going for the spatgetti combo and hubby got the steak and shrimp. The portion was ok for one person, but they were a bit overpriced for the size. Probably didn't know how to order. Probably sometimes in the future will return for another try see if I could get more valuable meal.
I've been moving to Port Coquitlam just over a year. Read the newspaper about this place that was voted #1. On Sunday morning, I went with my sons around 1pm. Little place but packed. Really friendly service. The food and service is attentive and fast. Food was really home-cooking which morelike comfort food. (That's what I wanted too). The ambience was outdated but the food definitely made it up. The value was ok for a small restaurant like this, but acceptable. Good place for a quick breakfast/lunch. Like the feeling the staff services the customers. Nice pllace definitely gonna be returning.
When I decided to go to a AYCE place, I don't expect much. That's why I think Shabusen has provided a above average atmosphere/food/service quality for me. Even though there is no such thing as presentation of the dishes, but the food is always fresh. The service was so so besides you occasionally ask for tea/water refill when the waitress sent orders, there wasn't much service. And the value was a bit over average, but you get what you eat. Large variety made up the price for sure, so good to go there with friends with big appetite. I like the ambiance though, not hip nor traditional, roomy cause I get private room doesn't matter what time I go. Overall not bad AYCE place.
I have been to a couple of indian restaurant. Oh how i love the buttered chicken... It is the greatest way to cook it for sure. My family went in and had the buffet. The price for me is reasonable considering everybody in my family have big appetite. The Naan is just awesome, warm and fresh ( at least to me) I dont' know if they make it on site, but really aromatic. The only thing I would suggest is the decor in there, They probably need updates but so far I am ok with it as long as the food is good...Good dessert ( the coconut pearl thingy).
I have been to Akari a couple of times when it opened years ago. My family had a good impression that in fact the sashimi was very fresh and they have the blue fin tuna ( even though it was super expensive) I went again just two nights ago, man, this place was really pissing me off. Not to mention the service was slow, they were in fact ignoring their customers. Maybe the restaurant was really too big for them to handle. Even we waved like elementary school students, they just walked past from another aisle, but still didn't bother paying attention to us. The food was really slow, that I agree with previous review, really really slow. Good thing I didn't go in with hunger. But it was really upsetting when there were three chefs standing at the sushi bar, and still couldn't manage to send out orders within reasonable time. About the value, I don't know, there are a couple of new Japanese restaurants that are with good food quality and lower price, so I decided I would not pay the price they charge here anymore. This place is definitely going downhill....
hmmm....AYCE ribs....it was so good. I don't mind the price was a bit too high. It was $90 for the whole family that night, but It was totally worth it. The ribs are so juicy and filling that I just kept eating without stopping. Not going back for a while coz the price was high, but definitely will go back for the juicy juicy ribs......hmmmmm
my family comes to visit once in every month. It is our favourite place when nobody wants to cook that day. All the dishes we tried so far are awesome and very tasty. sometimes they do tend to be a bit salty, lots of soy sauce. But the portion is always super. We once try their king crab with three ways of eating. That was awesome. The only one time they had pigeon, don't try it. It tated meaty and bloody, very heavy taste.
Overall, Love this place. Recommend to people who like cantonese food.
EVERY TIME~ my teeth hurt when I bit into KK's donut. I love donuts, but it is just too hard to stand the sweetness of KK's donut. Since I live so far away from Delta, I don't get to experience it very often, but everytime my friends bring me back a dozen, they just sat in my fridge for over three days til I decide to throw it away. I envy those people who can eat "a couple" at a time. I can only eat half and gotta go brush my teeth. >< And come to think of it, they do tend to get smaller each time. I haven't tried them over a year, do they still suvive?
Over the years, it has been really hard to stick to one restaurant for dine-in experience. I have been here for six years, the food standard has never changed. We always get really good service (I guess I know how to choose the time to go). The food was well-presented and fresh doesn't matter the sushi or the soup from kitchen. Always give me a pleasant feeling after. I recommend to people who like decent sushi. Hope they could keep it up.
