Good sushi but very disappointed that there is NO wild salmon...
Submitted Saturday, April 14, 2012 - 7:32pm [Dine in]

My family dined here tonight and my husband and I both ordered a combo sushi. I asked for wild salmon, usually I can always request wild salmon if the restaurant doesn't provide it as standard. I don't mind paying extra for wild. I was stunned to find out that they don't have wild, only farmed salmon! I find it quite sad that customers aren't asking for wild more, with so much information about the benefits of wild, and the detrimental effects of farmed...

For this reason alone we won't be back.

The food (other than the farmed salmon) was really good, the tuna melted in my mouth, and the price was great. Service was not very good at all, in fact really bad, but I would overlook this if the salmon was not farmed.

Too bad... :(

Worst dining experience of my life!
Submitted Saturday, December 3, 2011 - 5:44pm [Dine in]

I went there last night with a group of 12 friends. When we got there, the restaurant looked really nice, great atmosphere, and looked really promising. As the night went on (and a few tables were filled) the service went downwards fast. At the end it felt like we were on some comedy or hidden camera show. Some of the ladies ordered a starter and none of them were very impressed. In fact, after eating some of their food they decided against ordering a main course. My dinner eventually came (it took a long time but I'm willing to overlook that as there were a lot of us there), and it was very very mediocre. I had the prawn kebab, which came with rice (lots of boiled rice, no taste at all), a potato (which very well could have been heated up from the night before) and a small salad. No consistency, as my friend ordered the same meal and got a small garden salad.

Half way through dinner they must have opened a kitchen door as there was a very cold (December) draft coming through. We asked if it could be closed, and it was for 15 minutes and then reopened. So we sat there with our outdoor jackets on...

Anyhow, much of the menu that is online is not in fact offered. Many meals had a strip of paper stuck over the menu item. And even the wine we wanted was out of stock. I wasn't offered another drink after my first glass, and when I eventually was (at the end of dinner), I was given the wine list and never saw my waitress again! 45 minutes later, we all got up to go to the bar in order to request our bills! It truly was a complete joke... My friend who organized the location was so apologetic. Still had fun being out with the group, but I honestly have to say that was the worst dining experience ever. I've never left a review of a restaurant before, even bad ones, but this time I just had to say something...
