I've lived in Vancouver for a long time and never knew this place existed. A group of us went for Brunch and had an excellent time. The ambiance was superb, felt like I was on vacation. Service was good. Brunch was great! Unfortunately,
none of us had room to try out dessert. Not much else I can say except "we'll be back". Totally awesome!!

Bistrot Bistro came highly recommended to me and my friends, so we decided to try it out. He was not wrong and we were definitely not disappointed.
My friends and I have only good things to say...excellent, excellent, and excellent!!!
There was 4 of us in total and we had the Beouf Bourgineon (spelling?), Halibut, Mussels, Goat Cheese Salad and a few other appetizers plus all the sides dishes with our entree. The mashed potatoes were like butter. OMG! The scallopped potatoes and Brussel Spouts were also excellent. And then of course dessert & coffee - which again were to die for.
We will all be going back time and time again.
It was great food and great ambiance and even more fabulous to share with great friends.
This place is defnintely a gem.

A group of us went here to try out the food as it was recommended by someone else. Where does one start? First impression, the surroundings look drab and dirty. I'm really not sure what was so good about the food. The chicken had a funny smell and taste to it that it literally turned you off from eating.
My friend had the clams appetizer which also had a funky smell to it. The overall presentation of all the food looked like it was slopped onto the plates. I was told the owner was the Chef, how can a Chef serve food like this without any pride? Its pretty disgusting if you ask me.
As for the service, it was okay, I found that they all seemed somewhat scattered plus too many of them constantly going outside for a cigarrette break.
My list about this venue could go on forever but in the end it boils down to the fact that I would definitely never recommend it to anyone.
Overall, to reiterate from judging the surroundings and presentation of the food, it doesn't look like a place that pays attention to hygiene or cleanliness (cutlery/glasses were greasy feeling).

My husband & I went to this restaurant awhile ago because it came highly recommended to us. I had the Scallop & Prawns Vino Blanco and my husband had the Veal Cannelloni as well as the Spicy Calamari to start. The appy was fabulous however, I'm thinking - the cook/chef must think he can trick the customers, my dinner was supposed to come with Risotto but I got steamed rice...is this and italian chinese restaurant? Also, the Veal Cannelloni was extremely salty one cud barely eat it. The menu prices are a little too pricey for the quality of food you actually get.
It will be quite some time before we venture there again.
