Good but not exactly authentic

Having just returned from living in Mex (4 yrs) my husband and I are quite the experts on real Mexican food. We have been to Ponchos a number of times, and while the food is good, its not very authentic. It has some of the basics (guacamole, flautas, ) but serves it up with a cheese coated, tex mex rice type style. We are still looking all over Van for a real Mexican taco place. The margaritas are great here, I must admit that!

Poor representation of Mex food!

Having just returned from living in Mex (4 yrs), My husband and I decided we were in desperate need of a taco fix. So, we decided to try out the "authentic" Mex restaurant Tacos Mexico Sabroso. Upon looking at the menu, we became excited, all our old favs, tacos el pastor, sopes, aguas ...oh my!!! We ordered within min, tacos (pastor, steak, chorizo) sopes, and even a torta (mex type sub'). The service was fast, as I noticed the food was all ready prepared and heated in a micro! The food was the most disgusting take on Mex food I have ever had. Yes, I know we were spoiled living in Mex so long, but c'mon how is it that they can't get a taco right? I mean my husband (mexican) makes better tacos at home. After one bite of the taco bisteck (steak) well lets just say, we were sick. Honestly, I hate to be rude, but I must stress, the meal ruined our day, was horrible to say the least and made us sick ! If all that wasn't bad enough , it cost 45 bucks! A meal that would cost you 10 in Mex. We are in desperate need to find a real authentic Mexican rest, that will satisfy our cravings. Next, we will try Mouse and the bean.... If not we may have to look into opening our own!!!! Good luck, and if you ever go here, DO NOT EAT THE BISTEK TACO!!!!
