Had been to Anatoli many times when living in Vancouver back in the 90's.. Moved back to Vancouver, and one day, headed to Anatoli hoping to repeat many wonderful dining experiences from before. Noooo way. Prices are high, portions are a complete joke, unless you're a small child, and food is below mediocre. I won't waste my time or money returning here ever again. You shouldn't either.
After reading some of the reviews on dinehere.ca which gave this restaurant such high praise, we thought it sounded worth trying. We went for lunch on a weekday, and aside from 1 or two other occupied tables, we were the only ones there. After what seemed like a rather long wait for our meals, we were finally brought our food. We both had souvlaki, and were both rather disappointed with our dish. Greek salad could almost fit into a thimble it was such a small serving. Also, the onions were not even sliced properly, and there were large chunks that had only been half-sliced... You don't really expect such an amateur slicing job in a restaurant. Potato had no flavour, and neither did the rice. We ended up having to smother everything in lemon juice just to give it some kind of taste. Meat itself was not too bad, and the tzatziki was actually really good. However, for $14.95, the only thing that was worth it was a little pile of tzatziki. Don't bother with this place.. Go somewhere else.
