I have been coming to Moodyville's for several years. I live only a few blocks away and it is a very convenient and affordable place for all day breakfast. I have never found the service to exceptional, but it is not necessarily the type of place I go for the service anyhow. It is a quick and dirty type of greasy spoon where you order and pay at the counter, the food comes to the table, you eat and leave. And I like this about Moodyville's. However, having worked in the service industry for many a year, I can't ignore when service is just downright BAD!
This morning I went with my father and was greeted with a gal full of attitude who was literally stomping around the restaurant, banging chairs while clearing tables and throwing people's food down in front of them with a scowl. Now, I don't mind a hipster vibe to a restaurant where the staff are just too mellow to make a big deal over you. It's not my favourite, but I'll endure it to avoid over-zealous servers with disingenuous smiles and squeaky over-the-top voices hovering over my every bite and trying oh-so-hard to please me. But seriously - rude is rude! We all have bad days, but if one can't manage a certain level of professional demeanor in order to not make a customer feel uncomfortable just sitting and eating their food, then this is the wrong job for you. If you hate people, don't work in the service industry!
