We decided on this trip into the city we would forgo our usual stop at the Rugby Club and go to Earl's instead. We hadn't been there in so long and were having dreams of Foccacia bread. Did not live up to the dream.
I would like to say that the meal was perfectly adequate cause that's what it was. Not outstanding. Maybe I had built it up so much in my head but I was left a little sad by it all. For the price it tasted overly processed - just not real (All in all it was quite a lot of money for the experience!!$$$). Not like it used to. The atmosphere was also a little dull. I guess the overall experience left me a little unimpressed and definitely made me wanting the atmosphere and prices of the Rugby Club.
If you can you should head over there to excite your taste buds and your wallet. Earl's was just a bit too tired for me. So sad.

My title says it all. I love this place. The food, the value, the ambiance. When we come into town this is our favorite spot to start our night on the town! I take people there all the time and always love my experience. The fact that you can order what you want, how you want it to me is fabulous (My husband often calls me Sally from "When Harry met Sally"). The sticky thai chicken is wonderful, the oyster shooters are so much fun! I really like how you have appitizer choices that are all not deep fried - very hard to find these days!
And the entrees - I got to order my meat how I wanted it with my choice of seasoning and added the green beans to it. Yum! Love those green beans. Love the fact that if you don' want a carb you are not forced to stare at it on the plate and know that it's going in the trash.
LOVE the selections on dessert! Big desert person. And the hint about adding a glass of bubbly? How fancy! Never would have though of it and I'm glad that I indulged!
We had great time there with the atmosphere - you feel like you are at a party! You look around and everyone is having a great time, the music is playing loud - Great night out!! Totally worth the drive!
And at these prices I can even afford the babysitter!!

This is one of those last places that really feels like you are out. Cozy, romantic and oh so tasty.
Love to wander down, order a glass of J. Lohr Wildflower and a beautiful plate of the mussels. What a wonderful night! The tight quarters make you feel the need to be as close to possible with your dinner guest and what could be better! Forced closeness! And no PDA to be embarrassed about!
Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful but dare I say a bit pricey...especially these days. Save it for a special night out so you can totally indulge, relax and soak it all up.
