Langley has good sushi . . .

This place is a bit out of the way, being in Brookswood. Despite that, it's busy for it's size and where it is. The staff are friendly and easy to communicate with. The food is fresh; hot when it should be hot and cold when it should be cold. Their dynamite rools are HUGE!. My dad wasn't a big fan of "sushi" before we went, but even he ended up enjoying the meal. For three people with drinks and dessert it was $60.00, and we ordered a lot of food. The ambiance is average, but it's really the food we were after, so no big deal.

Definately recommend and will go again (and again, and again . . .)

Good place for late meal

we were hungry (okay, I was hungry, he - not so much), but we went in at close to midnight and were still able to get full menu service. We started with crab artichoke dip, then I had prime rib with prawns and he had a New York with mushroom. Food was great, and never were we made to feel rushed.

We sat in a booth in the lounge and we completely comfortable. So, yeah, would definately recommend.

good pizza, good lunch
Submitted Tuesday, March 4, 2008 - 2:17pm [Dine in]

took a friend here for a B-day lunch. We shared a pasta and a pizza. The food came quickly, but we had to ask for plates for sharing (not a big deal, but the share plates were tiny. Not the food itself, but the actual plates to put stuff on) The pizza was wonderful. the pasta was good to, though the sauce needed something . . . spices, cream, I don't know, something to take away from the sraight tomato.

Our drinks were refilled, and the service was prompt and efficient. The room is really interesting with staircases and different levels and hiding spots and private rooms, so there is always something to look at. Because of this, be prepared to be greated in one area, then directed to another area, and then seated. Bizare but I guess it saves the hostess having to walk up and down the stairs.

So yes, do go, and enjoy!

Fast Take Out, Simple Sushi
Submitted Friday, February 29, 2008 - 3:10pm [Dine in]

good place for take out. I had assorted rools, and they were all made fresh. the chef was very meticulous about cleanliness and cleaned his knives after each use, and washed his hands often. While waiting, I was served hot tea, which was appreciated. The prices are good, and the food came fast. The rolls are also quite large.

Go food to go.

Romantic Valentine's Day
Submitted Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 3:44pm [Dine in]

took the Mr. to CinCin for Valentine's Day. We had been here for Dine Out 2008 as well, and were impressed and wanted to return again. Although it was a busy night, we were greated warmly and were shown to a very nie, romantic table. I had forgotten my glasses, so the server brought over a tray with a half dozen pairs or so for me to choose from! That's great service.

We had a beet salad and beef carpacio to start. Then I had the pork tenderloin and he had the braised lamb. Both were very good and we ended up sharing because well, it was Valentine's Day afterall. The portion sizes were very generous, which you often don't get in a high end restaurant. So very good value for the money.

Dessert was truly outstanding. We had the Valentine's Trio, which was a tiramisu, creme brulee (my favorite) and a triple choc mousee torte. oh, and a scoop of gelato. I understand they recently won Best Desserts and it's easy to understand why. I would go back just for dessert.

good dim sum, good price
Submitted Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 3:34pm [Dine in]

We often go here as a group for their $2.50 dim sum because it's close to work. The carts come around often, the food is hot, and you can order things not on the cart, like calamari. However, we've found some times they charge us more than the $2.50 for the extra items, and sometimes they don't. Strange. getting extra napkins and water can be a bit lengthy too. the decor is outdated, but we don't go here for the decor.

I would recommend this restaurant for cheap, hot dim sum with a large group, as they seat you very quickly, and like I said, come around with the carts often.
