Just not good...
Submitted Friday, July 23, 2010 - 9:40pm [Dine in]

Like most of the reviews here mentioned, the ownership change must have led to the decline in the quality of gelato, as well as the experience...

I just want to say simply that their gelato is not good - even the good or regular flavors are terrible - there's something about the consistency that's not smooth and rich. But I guess if you're making 218 different kinds of flavors you're trying to save money somewhere... Too bad it's on the quality of the gelato itself.

Gelato at it's finest! The best in Vancouver hands down.

Ever since I became pregnant all I've wanted to eat was gelato. No joke, I have visited every gelato place in the the lower mainland (yes, I know, but cravings!). Anyway, Dolce Amore is hands down my favorite. The gelato is excellent, the quality is so rich and true to the flavor (as in it doesn't taste like powder or too much water). And the price for 1 scoop (2 flavors) is fantastic. Mind you not too many places allow you to have 2 flavors in 1 scoop - I like that here they give you the option of having 2 types for the price of one.

I must say that I used to be a fan of their strawberry sorbet a few years ago but now they make it different. Other than that, the sorbes are sooo tasty, like real fruit.

I believe the waffle cones are also made on the premises - and they're melt in your mouth delicious.

The best dynamite roll in town!
Submitted Friday, July 23, 2010 - 9:30pm [Dine in]

The ambiance may not be fantastic, but the staff are friendly and the food is super tasty. I've gone here many times, and each time the sushi is fresh and delicious. My favorite is the dynamite roll - it's the best (and BIGGEST!!) I've tried anywhere in the city. If I had to point out something negative is perhaps that it's slow during a rush time - but what place isn't, especially when you're hungry and waiting for food? I really recommend this place.
