Dads Homemade Soups & Sangys1913 Sooke Road, #112, Victoria
a great place for lunch!
Submitted Saturday, March 28, 2009 - 3:33pm [Dine in]

This place has dIfferent types of fresh bread, tasty soups and desserts but what truly impressed me was the generous portions provided in their sandwishes. If you order a sandwish expect a very tasty and very generous portion of shaved roast beef, sliced ham etc along with a wide selection of fresh vegetables. The place has caught on with the locals and so is generally quite busy at lunch time with line ups out the door not being uncommon.

Thanks to all the windows this place is bright and airy the decor is cafeteria style with some sports memorabilia.

Lakes Grillhouse n' Bar, The4670 Elk Lake Drive, Victoria
best eggs benny in town
Submitted Friday, March 27, 2009 - 4:03pm [Dine in]

This is my fave restaurant to take my kids for Saturday or Sunday brunch and given how busy the restuarant now is, many other folks agree.

They quite simply make the best Eggs Benedict anywhere in the Greater Victoria area. The Hollandaise sauce is made from scratch and is completely addicitve!

The bar area is nice as well, and I have on occassion met with clients there for a drink.

a forgotten jewel

The embassy restaurant is my fave place to go with clients or simply unwinding after meetings at the legislature.

The service there is excellent. The menu selection is varied and consistently tasty and best of all they have free underground parking.

I especially enjoy having breakfast, brunches and lunches there. My kids enjoy the food there as well.

will go again

Good food, great service and authentic Morroccan Cuisine make this restaurant a delight. The food was flavourful and also very healthy. The menu although limited does include both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

I will definitely be back when they open up the front patio for BBQ dishes. The owner Salim Errhouni made a point of visiting our table and the waiter was also very courteous.
