Mongolie Grill467 West Broadway, Vancouver
great idea
Submitted Sunday, December 7, 2008 - 5:49pm [Dine in]

it's a great idea, being able to choose your own food. But something needs to improve. The restaurant smells like pee and is a little bit dark for my taste. Also the guessing of the weight is impossible. They should not have the weight guessing because all it does is get your hopes up, and crushes them.
I find it quite the Mediterranean restaurant.

Moxie's Classic Grill180 West Georgia, Vancouver
disappointing
Submitted Sunday, December 7, 2008 - 5:40pm [Dine in]

Moxie looks like another Cactus Club or Milestones, but their service definitely doesn't show similar qualities. Though i am not that big of a fan of Cactus Club or Milestone, i enjoy the experience much more then Moxies. I asked for a coffee, and did not receive it until 15 minutes later. My friends and I also orders appetizers, and received them at the exact same time as our main course.
Not recommended if you want good service.

Cupcakes on Denman1168 Denman Street, Vancouver
not so sweet
Submitted Sunday, December 7, 2008 - 5:36pm [Dine in]

for a place named cupcakes which give the connotation of light and happy, the service is quite dull and stuck up. The girls (haven't seen any men) are rude and extremely unfriendly. It is quite shocking how they are even hired.
On the actual cupcake: they are extremely sweet (too sweet for me personally) but i enjoy purchasing these treats because of the presentation. It makes a great birthday cake.
