Balmy summer's evening, patio table. Waitress - friendly in a forced sort of way, drink - Waitress unsure of flavours of Mojitos available (none was a great success), starters, warm dip - much too much garlic, salt & pepper ribs - much too much seasoning. Mains - Halibut, overpowered by dressing, Tuna - ditto. Food generally - way over seasoned. Rice had congealed into a solid mass. Service - reasonable - no attempt to take a drinks order for the main meal, no offer of desserts or coffee. The whole was better than the sum of the parts - the ambience was fine, the waitress was OK in a very mechanical way (but extracting a cork from a wine bottle was beyond her and she also cleared plates before all diners had finished, and presented mains whilst starters were being eaten) and the food was - frankly - poor. On balance - not a genuine player in a city with so many worthwhile alternatives.
Food was cold, main course arrived moments after the starters, waiter poured white wine into my (quarter full) water glass and then disappeared leaving another server to attend to us. Yes wine was replaced but overall not a good experience. May get better once they have sorted out their teething problems?
