To me, food & service are the most important elements of a good dining experience, followed by ambience.
IMHO, The Bibo got it all right! I was thrilled to find this spot in Kits.
The pizza was fantastic, the pasta delicious and the tiramisu amazing and I found the service very friendly and efficient. The menu has lots of options and the challenge was limiting our selections for only two people. It got a bit loud but that's because the place was packed with people enjoying the place.

I looked forward to trying Cobre after reading reviews and hearing several good things from friends.
Interesting menu, and good food, if a little overpriced considering the portions.
The atmosphere was fun and inviting for an evening with friends, until the music volume was turned too loud to enjoy good conversation.
The service, however, was the worst I've experienced in Vancouver ). It took 40 minutes for anyone to take our order. When they did, they were rushed and didn't seem to notice (or care) that our glasses were empty. Side plates were literally thrown onto our table so loudly that we all gasped in fright as the plates circled on the table from the weight of their landing. I had to request water and the waiter brought one glass, rather than one for each person at the table (3). At one point the waiter finally asked if we needed anything. When I replied no, we were fine, he snipped in a shockingly rude tone "I was only asking if you needed anything!"
Too bad for the service because the restaurant itself could be a neat dining experience but I wouldn't return.
